A great find while a weekend away! I highly recommend the hk style, sweet and sour. The service was great, and if we are ever this way again, we would definitely visit again.

First time here and it was such a delight to be able to order such a wide range of food, especially at an oriental restaurant. This is definitely going to be a regular choice for us now.
Highly recommend the Singapore Slings too!
One of the best meals out I have had in a while. Had set meal D, plenty of tasty and varied food for £26 pp. The staff seem to be really well trained so the service is excellent. Take cash so you can leave them a nice tip!

Loved it! The peppered salt squid, sweet and sour Hong Kong style, prawn toast and duck was amazing. Cooked to perfection.
I really liked the decor as tastefully styled and with Christmas decorations. Very friendly staff and well priced. The hoisin sauce was delightful and tender duck, all with the right amount of crisp and soft meat. I will definitely be heading back, I had a takeaway with a friend before so thought I would try the restaurant and I'm glad I did.
Just to add to this review, I went back to try more dishes, very authentic to Chinese cuisine, the Pak choi in garlic and oyster sauce was great as well as the lemon chicken.
For me and my partners first time at the restaurant we found the service absolutely fantastic the waiters was very on point with my dierty issues and helped me with what i was choosing by giving me a menu full of dishes that have all allegiance to people. He helped me guide through what i was choosing to make sure it had nothing i was intolerant to. He also came back from The chefs after checking to makes sure that my food i had chosen was fine for me and to make sure everything was ok they were on point with it all and we was well looked after. The food was delicious and i couldnt recommend a better place for fantasic service and food.
Looked after the grandchildren well with a colouring competition for Halloween which my granddaughter has entered
And special chop sticks for my husband tied together a warm friendly place
I had intended to press a five star sorry the food was hot and delicious wish the plates had been a bit larger to save going back to the buffet twice 😊
We come here regularly as we've never had a bad experience. The food as always was lovely. Had the sharing platter to start then crispy chilli beef. Service was brilliant and the staff were very friendly. The little fairy lights create a lovely atmosphere.
If you fancy some really good Chinese food, and want to experience amazing service then this is the place for you.
All the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive throughout the meal. We didn't even have to wait to order more drinks as they were with us before our glasses were empty.
The food was amazing, all served quickly and the crispy duck (for the pancakes) was shredded for us at the table, which was a lovely touch.
Looking forward to going again - apparently the Sunday buffet is great so that's my next visit!
This place is my mum’s go-to. I have always struggled, being a vegetarian, to find places to find authentic good tasting Chinese/Asian food. My family are all meat eaters, so finding somewhere to accommodate both, especially in Yate, is really hard. Henry’s always have 10/10 service, advise what is vegetarian and even go the extra mile to make dishes vegetarian. Service is honestly the best for any restaurant / takeaway in the area/most of Bristol. The crispy broad beans are the best too (nobody is allowed to share these with me). The meal I had tonight, especially the Pak Choi, took me back to travelling around SE Asia. If I could give this 10 stars, I would.

Food & Service superb!!! We ate here on a Friday night as a group of 4. Didn’t know what to expect, but it was absolutely delicious. The food was hot, tasty and a good portion. The service was second to none, very attentive and polite! Would definitely recommend to anyone!!
Henry's Oriental Chinese was absolutely amazing. Very bubbly and friendly staff.
The food we could not manage to eat was put in to boxes to bring home. Would highly recommend.
I've been visiting Henry's for many years and can happily say I've never had a bad experience. As someone with a nut allergy I often have issues in restaurants trying to decipher what I can and cannot eat; but here my food is already pre-ordered to be cooked in separate pans in order to minimise criss contamination. With every staff member smiling and the owner himself seeing to every table this is truly a special place to visit.

We had such an incredible evening at Henry’s Oriental last week!! We went on a Saturday evening and we were originally going to drink a pint whilst ordering to take away but decided to see if we could eat in. They managed to squeeze us in and you could see they were busy but that truly didn’t affect the quality of service at all.
We were sat in a lounge area that had a film on a TV the size of my car but we waited less than 5 minutes before being sat at a table that had prawn crackers ready to go. Soon after we ordered a couple of cocktails that came from the lounge next door and then we ordered our food! We went with the five spice chicken to start which tasted amazing and very clearly in a fresh and light batter. We were also given a finger bowl too!
My partner ordered the egg fried rice and orange chicken and he said the rice was possibly the best he’d had. I ordered the fried Singapore style vermicelli and the beef sizzler with a sweet garlic sauce. I don’t even know how they made the beef so tender but it melted in my mouth and the noodles had amazing chicken and pork in it too which tasted JUST as good the next day. The portion of noodles could definitely be shared but I was glad to be able to take it home so my experience with them lasted longer.
The whole way through the evening all of the wait staff were attentive, efficient and helpful! We have already decided this is where we’ll bring friends and family too because we’re new to the area and SO pleased we’ve found a place.
