Wonderful pub with a really good menu. We all enjoyed our food, the staff were great and were in no rush for us to leave even at 11pm. We left saying why don’t we come here more often.

What a fantastic Sunday Roast!!! Excellent service from the moment we arrived. A magnificent Sunday Roast - just the right portions! The meat was extremely Tender (Beef for my wife and pork for me), there was a great variation of veg and the Yorkie and Gravy were to die for!

Booked a table online and received an acknowledgement. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the landlord who was already expecting us. The welcome was warm and courteous. Drinks, menus, ordering and food all arrived in a timely manner. The food was hot, plentyfull and very tasty. We had a great experience and I'm sure we will be back again.

After having a car emergency, we stopped by this pub. I have to say the staff and manager were extremely helpful, kind and considerate. The customer service and humanity of the staff was beyond reproach. I am very grateful for their help and I would thoroughly recommend this pub for a friendly pleasant atmosphere.

We needed somewhere to stay near Oxford and this was just right. The rooms are in a purpose built block beside the pub and are a good size with a large bathroom. We ate dinner and breakfast in the pub. The service was very good, the food was really well cooked and the serving size was generous. Would definitely consider staying again.

Just had a lovely steak meal here, very tasty, well presented and without too long a wait. The desserts were great too, the staff were very welcoming, we were on holiday in the area and would highly recommend a visit

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding. We had three wonderful nights. Ian and his team were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely food. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this lovely pub.

Really excellent pub. Stopped off for lunch on our way across country. Really nice that they have half size portions if you don't want something massive, menus were really superb and not just the usual pub grub. Prices are also really reasonable. Under £30 for the 2 of us to have a splendid lunch. Would definitely stop there again.

I stayed for one night in July. The room was fantastic, modern and clean. I found the staff very welcoming and friendly. The menu was varied and the food was very impressive. Five stars are not enough for this hidden gem. Thank you all for making my trip extra special.
