Just been for lunch at the Cottage tea room with 5 children and 2 dogs and all of us wet and mucky. They were so welcoming and helpful with the children as well as supplying stickers to keep them busy while we waited for food. The food came quickly and was delicious. Such a great experience and will most definitely be back!!!

Highly recommend, contacted to deliver an afternoon tea to a friend after an accident as a treat at a local address rather than go to bigger online companies I wanted to give a local business support, couldn’t have been more helpful & delivered a lovely afternoon tea at no extra cost for delivery

Been here today for afternoon tea, my friend booked it for my birthday treat. We were a bit early, so we sat by the lake for a while, watching the geese and ducks, so lovely. We were warmly welcomed to the tea room. The staff are so lovely and friendly. Now to the afternoon tea, was it good? No. It was DELICIOUS . The sandwiches were so tasty, the cake wonderful, the scone so so good. And all served with a tea pot full of good tea. We were asked if we needed any more,ha. We were stuffed. We would definitely go again, thanks so much. Christine and Alison.

Lots to choose from even though a small tea room, would go again, next time not just tea and cake as the savoury choices looked really good.

Lovely little tea room. The range of homemade cakes and biscuits is fantastic. Decent speciality tea menu too. It's not a big place so get there early if you haven't booked!

We love visiting this small, friendly tea room. The food is delicious home cooked fayre, at a reasonable price. Not only that, our dog is welcomed with open arms and complimentary home cooked sausages.

First time at this lovely cafe and tea rooms after first time up Great hill, and it won’t be our last for either Staff here are wonderful, cakes are fabulous, and prices are unbelievable 😮 We’re already working out how early we get up to do the walk next time in order to partake in the all day breakfast after. Only 5 tables inside so can get full quickly especially mid afternoon but that’s the sign of great popular place

First visit to this little known tea rooms. My Mum and I had the afternoon tea for two. At £22 for the two of us, it was very good value. You get four finger sandwiches and a smoked salmon and cream cheese tortilla, two cakes where you choose the ones that you want, a bowl of crisps, and a scone with butter, jam and cream and a pot of tea. Booking IS required for afternoon tea. There is a substantial menu and daily specials. Definitely worth a visit if you live nearby, or even if you're out on a hike. We will definitely be coming back.
