First time ordered from here. Got a delivery to Scotland yesterday. Was a bit worried after I've bought from other places and pies have came half defrosted. No such worries here. Really, really well packaged and arrived completely frozen. So far , so good, on to the pies themselves. Just tried the meat and potato pie. Pastry is absolutely lovely. Pies are packed with quality ingredients. Plenty of meat in them. Best of all, taste absolutely brilliant. No hesitation recommending them. Might have been first order, certainly won't be last. Loved them.
The pies from here are brilliant. The pies are a good size and the filling is plentiful and the pastry is nice and thick without being to flaky or dry. The pies are full of flavour and taste amazing. I love pies and am a bit of pie head which my waist line doesn't thank me for. When the national pie awards are released each year I always order pies from the company that wins. Let me tell you the pies from here taste better than the pies that won 2023.
Ordered my pies on Tuesday and were delivered on Thursday and Friday! I contacted them and they were really lovely and helpful,. We were given the pies for free. I cannot recommend them highly enough for their response and also their delicious pies. Will definitely order again and, of course, have a pie at the Etihad.
I am a Lancashire lass who now lives down South and have found my people at last. I have ordered a mixed box. Potato and meat are heavenly, husband loves the steak one. I am yet to try the rest but will let you know on those. The insulated bag in a sturdy box complete with ice packs, just perfect. Delicious π

I was not disappointed. They were a taste of home. Beautiful pastry and lots of filling. I'll definitely be ordering again.
Just received our second delivery of Bowen pies from on line order, expert service, They actually cook them to order the day before you say you require them, They come well packed with silver insulated packing and a gel pack inside to keep them cool and are delivered by courier, Highly recommend them to be tried, we will be getting them on a regular basis now.
Had an amazing sandwich today cheese salad ! Bread was a door stopper ingredients over filled I could of cut in half & lasted a day but I was that greedy I eat it all ! So fresh the lady was kind and fantastic customer service ! If there again I would go again ! Hope you open one in Stalybridge!
The single greatest location in the North West for the pie lover. Lovely taste great pastry and the whist pie is a must. Wish they'd open inside seating up again though. Great food
Just had my first Bowen sausage roll. What a delight, the best sausage roll I have ever tasted! Delicious tender meat, lots if it, and perfect pastry. Won't be eating a Gregg's sausage roll again any time soon.
Chunky steak great, cheese and onion great, meat and potatoes great. Meat pies poor. Hardly any filling. Needs improvement. Hollands meat pie much much better

get your pies at Bowens. I loved them. especially steak and potato. I bought a whist, a chicken, chunky steak and every single pie was georgous! as a visiter to England I really appreciate your lovely pies. hoping we get a US/UK trade deal so I can get these gastronomic wonders closer to home.
I canβt believe how long weβve lived here and never been, came in for the first time Saturday lunchtime as it smelt great walking past we had the chunky steak and the kids had sausage rolls best pie Iβve ever tasted. Just found our new favourite lunch spot
Things don't always go as planned and I had an issue with the poor level of service I received at this shop. I left a bad, but accurate, review and I was quickly contacted by a member of the Bowen family who offered to look into my complaint. To cut a long story short the Bowen family really do care about their business and their customers and I am pleased by their response. I will be going back as the pies really are nice and also to support a local, family run business.

Ordered online, and really glad to discover Bowens Pies. My favourite is the pork pie, good quality meat and crispy pastry. Also, Iβm very happy to of discovered their Butter pies. Amazing π
