Dux Dine

It's a bit unfortunate that the fantastic food was let down by the service. We ordered drinks and then food. A while later, an entree and a main arrived but no drinks. (The main was one of two ordered, the same. Why couldn't they bring two?) The other 3 mains took another 30 minutes. The drinks finally arrived but one was the wrong drink. The food was top notch and well worth the inconvenience. Perhaps a staff member called in sick last minute but they didn't seem rushed. If I lived here I would probably give them another chance to prove themselves.

14th Anniversary second visit and enjoyed our corner behind the glass with clear ray of winter sun. Shakshuka is good if you enjoy tomatoes you get more than plenty with this dish. Pea+Halloumi fritters is also nice. But the coffee is top notch really really good taste and good balance 👍 ☕ **3 years ago***Food is delicious and I can see this place will be lovely during the warm summer nights. Calamari and cauliflower were amazing, great flavour and the dipping for the calamari was particularly inspired. Got the chowder for a main with extra garlic bread for a main, poor waitress forgot until she came back to the table but rectified fairly quickly. Chowder was delicious but nuclear in temperature. We got the pasta for the other main with added fish - the fish was perfectly done, but the pasta was very one dimensional and unbalanced. The staff were very quick to rectify when I asked for it to be coeliac friendly, big kudos to the waiter that stepped in to get that fixed up. Overall pretty good, but got stuck between two loud tables in a corner while the rest of the restaurant appeared empty.

Food was of good portion and nice flavor! The salmon salad was huge and the vegetables were very fresh. Egg Benedict was made well and the sauce was legitimate. Only the French toast was too sweet and the breads were not very crispy. Perhaps the syrup was added too much. Otherwise, good taste, good service. Will come back again.

My family has eaten here a couple of times. We feel like the food is a bit of mixed quality; some things we like a lot and some we don’t. Most importantly for us, our preschool-age son gets excited about pizza, but doesn’t eat much because it doesn’t taste very good (and I agree). However, he LOVES the toy box, which makes getting through dinner much easier.
