The Artichoke Inn Of Christow - Christow - Photo album

Nice and cosy pub. We were welcomed and offered a table even though we had no reservations and arrived quite late. The service was excellent and the food was very good!
Cozy place with friendly staff (Becky was ace!) Food was very tasty and very well presented. Real fire crackling in the background added to the great atmosphere.
We love The Artichoke! Sam and Mark are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble - the service is always excellent. The food is quality pub-style food and very good value. The pizzas are particularly good - we have one pretty much every Friday evening!
Great village pub, with lovely staff who are very welcoming. They do take away menu as well as sit in and our favourite is the made from scratch Pizzas which are amazing. We had a selection for our party and there was not a slice left. Especially good is the beef Madras pizza yum yum. Highly recomme
I always say it how it is Great old proper pub with nice atmosphere fun landlady and landlord and superb food everything we wanted , we will be back .
Love my village pub! Always so friendly and inviting especially with my dog Frank. The food is on another level, not what you’d expect from a little village pub! The fish and chips are delicious but my fave is the NewYorker chicken burger! And their chips 🤤 what can I say! Amazing pub, amazing peopl
Have had many a pizzas here and also great burgers. They cater well for Gluten Free too which is outstanding. You can’t beat the Spicy Pepperoni Pizza with extra chicken or the 6oz Steak Cheeseburger. Both my favorites and it’s always decision decisions!
A lovely little country pub with a huge heart. Yummy pizza for lunch and a great choice of beers. Thank you Mark and Sam, for the warm welcome. Having read a couple of very mean reviews written earlier this week I wonder if we have some fraudsters visiting the area trying to get free dinners? I jus
Have been here many times and always had a good meal with great service. Their pizzas are to die for, and roasts are fab, but then I also love their steaks lol 😆 This lovely cosy village pub is welcoming and their beer garden is great! Plenty of seating, with gnomes and gonks to keep you company, a
Visited on 20th April, with friends. The village is lovely, the pub is so historic, full of charm and character. A fire place you would sit beside on a winters night, sipping your brew. Staff and locals friendly, food was amazing, service with a smile. Some seating outside, ideal for those summer da
Just read with much bemusement a bad review for the home made pizzas. Often order them and did so again on Friday for our group of friends staying for the weekend. Everyone was raving about them and the beef madras one was a major hit. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Sam and Mark are fanta
We enjoyed a lovely meal and some drinks at the artichoke inn. We arrived just when the kitchen was closing but we were still served. Had a large jumbo fish and chips with mushy peas, a couple of gin and tonics and some pints. The atmosphere was very nice, staff was friendly and the bill was fair.
Driving past on the way back from visiting friends and popped in for pizza , AMAZING all fresh ingredients and made from scratch , well worth the wait , beer was great and reasonably priced too. It felt like an old English pub should , will definitely go back next time we are in the area
Sam and Mark are amazing hosts and The Artichoke is a genuine village pub with a warm welcome for all. Pizzas are lovely and great that they do a take away menu too
Excellent food and service. Very welcoming owners and staff. Very accommodating for our fussy son. Ate here most nights during our holiday. (We stayed at the cottage next door). Claire, Gary, Ryan and Bailey the puppy.
Proper village pub feel to it, and that's meant in a very positive way. We were 'out of towners ' on holiday but the welcome we got was lovely. Thanks so much and we hope to see you all again one day!
The Artichoke is perfectly located in the heart of Christow, with a great bar and nice patio and lovely old building. I left my special sunglasses and rung up two days later and they’d been handed into the bar; a testament to the kindness of the patrons and the owners - purrrrfect!
After a long day out we ordered 4 different meals to have as a take away and each of us was really pleased with the food. Hot meals and good portion sizes.
