A good old classic country pub with classic pub food and great proportions. You often don’t find ploughman’s on a menu anymore, but they do and they honestly have the best one - great chunky slices of cheese and ham with thick slices of fresh bread. The pub can get busy but when the sun is out there
I really do love this place. I've been coming here for years on and off, and it's always a pleasure.
The look, feel and ambience of The Crown hasn't changed. Its stayed a village hideaway pub and I'm glad about that.
On the summer time, the gardens are full of flowers and fresh Mendip Hills air, and
A lovely olde worlde sort of building with lots of interesting places to sit. We chose to sit outside as it was a nice day.

Found this cottage style pub slightly off the beaten track but so worth a visit. Friday lunchtime so fairly busy. Great menu. Seating indoors and outdoors front and rear of pub. Friendly staff. Very nice old school pub. Friendly staff and most importantly super tasty food. Portions are generous too!
Nice area inside and plenty of seats outside.
Great traditional and earthy pub - perfect after a long walk. Dogs welcome. Kids too (apparently on a lead according to the sign above the bar). The value for money was crazy - we had a ploughmans and the amount of food we got for what we paid was awesome. Perfect stop on a winters day with warm log
An absolute gem of a pub, nestled in the Mendip hills. A proper old-school boozer, decent selection of ales and a cracking, deep-fill, sandwich. On a sunny day, the beer garden, or tables out the front, are lovely with the latter boasting a view of the Bristol Channel. In the winter there are roarin
