Nice old pub on the way to Cirencester on the Gloucester Road at Stratton. Nice drive there. Not alot of parking but places around to park. Plenty of seating inside and couple of tables outside. They do show sport. Only had drinks which was reasonably priced. Would go again

Welcoming, roadside pub serving traditional ales in a comfortable setting. Ideal for that quiet drink and conversation. Just far enough removed from town centre activity!

Just had excellent Sunday roast with all the trimmings. This is real home cooking. Had pork, moist and full of flavour, followed with pud and custard. The pub is a happy place to be in, with log burner. Good old fashion pub.

The Drillmans Arms, was very welcoming friendly served good ales, which is a debating point as we all have different options as to what makes a good pint. Surprised to find a fair bit of space and distance between tables. This is not my regular public house, but if I lived in the area it could well be. Nice place to spend a few hours if you don't live in the area. Keith Lane

What an absolute gem of a pub, went there to watch the England game after ringing a few days earlier to see if they were showing it. Phone enquiry was very friendly and the welcome on the day was even better, a local pub full of local people and even though we we were "outsiders" from the hotel up the road we were treated as locals by everyone. The following day we walked past on our way into Cirencester and Tina and co, who were sat outside, not only recognised us but remembered our names. This is the kind of pub you want as a local, so much so we are thinking of moving house so it can be our local.

Came across this pub whilst touring the area and found it to be very friendly with a smallish but pleasant front bar and a roaring fire also a very social back room which seems to go down well with the locals

The drillmams is my local. Beer is always good and denise and Tina are good friends. My son and I always get a warm welcome rain or shine and the roast dinners are second to none. This place is more than just a pub to me, it's home from home

My local - ever changing selection of three ales, plus the regular Doombar. Basket meals good value. No cards accepted, so bring plenty of cash! A traditional local drinking den - perfect.

As good as the best. Crib and skittles in progress, 3 real ales plus bombardier, football to watch but with no sound so conversation is encouraged, friendly professional hardworking staff, what more could you want

Cirencester is really up itself, petrol several pence dearer than swindon, beer prices dear, housing dearer, resturants ect ect. But the drillmans with Denise and Dick is a great pub, with old charm and values, and very good Beers, they have several different beers all real, and doombar. Its a freindly nice pub and they have got it right in these day of doom for the pub trade. we should all support them.
