I came to clacton on sea for a holiday and luckily found The Golden Fillet who caters for people with a gluten intolerance! I was amazed at just how much was served that was gluten free and how well known it was to staff (often can be a worry when eating out). The chips were delicious and I even was able to have a gluten free sausage. It was a breath of fresh air to talk to a manager with such passion in catering for people with gluten intolerance which makes it a lot easier to know reliable places for eating out. I strongly recommend the fish and chip shop to anyone and especially those with coeliac disease.

Used to eat fish and chips regularly from golden fillet when I visited my parents but then became wheat intolerant. Had my first taste of the gluten free cod and chips today and even parents went gluten free too. It was fantastic and felt great to eat proper fish and chips again. Will try to arrange my visits around the gluten free days. Great friendly service as always too.

Decided to try this place based on recommendations we found on Google. We were not disappointed. The food was tasty and well cooked. We had 2 fish and chips and 2 chicken burgers. The fish and chips were not greasy and had a lovely batter on the fish. Service was a little slow but this was due to a large telephone order that came in just before we arrived. We didn't mind as we sat inside and enjoyed the air conditioning after being out in the heat all day on the beach. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Frinton and Holland on sea

Fantastic fish and chip shop, reasonably priced. We didn't have to wait long for our order and we ate our fish and chips at hone. They were delicious.

We were down by the beach and fancied some chips, this was a short walk away. Had a little wait as they cooked food fresh. Food was very nice, highly recommend. Both the fish and chips were cooked really well. Also had a pot of curry sauce which was very tasty! Space out front to park if driving.

Had take away but there's seating in and out here. Must be the crispiest chips and fish batter I'd ever had and it was lush.

Really lovely meal all freshly cooked and with homemade tartare sauce. The chips were amazing. The staff were friendly and efficient. Overall a great experience would recommend.
