Robin Hood

Lived just a short walk from this pub for 7 years and never visited before this. Service was spot on, food was good and it was not too noisy, so it was perfect for a quiet family meal with the wife and toddler! Staff were super friendly and attentive, even made sure to interact with the little one, which was a nice touch. Our starters came quickly and we did not have to wait long for our mains, they were out within minutes our our table being cleared of the starters. We will definitely be visiting again, great place, with good food and a welcoming atmosphere that is just a short walk from home, winner, just gutted it has taken us 7 years to actually vist!

Ash and the team at the Robin Hood couldn’t do enough for us tonight - we arrived late after setting up our tent at a nearby campsite - tired and hungry, with our dog …. The boys fitted us in, kept the kitchen open to accommodate us and the food was fantastic - freshly grilled gammon and chips and an amazing Chicken & Veg Panang curry 😋 great value too! We’ve heard they’ve not been in charge long but they’ve certainly up’d the game and deserve the praise 🙏

Staff were great and provided my drinks and foods on time. Great atmosphere and felt very looked after , food was also tasty. We felt very looked after by the assistant manager Ash who ensured our visit was special, as me and my wife were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Would most certainly revisit again .

We came with a large party and enjoyed a great meal in a friendly atmosphere. The service was good with the meals arriving quickly. The staff were absolutely fabulous - they did an amazing job helping out when one of the party needed assistance, going above and beyond on a busy Saturday night. Thank you all, especially Rhianna, your kindness was much appreciated. We will be back.

Lovely quaint pub,food lovely,staff friendly😊 our only complaint was the long waiting time for our drinks and food. Drinks took about 15/20 mins from ordering to arriving and it was 45 mins wait for our mains. Couldn't fault everything else though and would return, could've been down to staffing issues on that particular day that we went. Would recommend the kedgeree fish cakes and the honeypot dessert.

Lovely meal, had to remind the staff that they missed the chips on the fish cake meal, received about 5 minutes later. I really rate the summer drinks on the menu. We enjoyed our meal out for our anniversary. Great location, plenty of parking, if you are tall watch your head on the way in. Toilets clean. Will visit again.

Absolutely amazing!! We came to Clacton on a holiday and came to The Robin Hood for Tea one evening and it was so good we just had to book for lunch the next day! They were so friendly and welcoming. They even had a doggy station of help yourself water with bowls and dog treats for free and a pups menu with mini sausages, beef and chicken for the dogs at a reasonable price! We are absolutely gutted when we go home we will be 3 hours away. We wish it was our local pub! The food was so tasty and presentable.
