A Business Man's Indian Restaurant Review: - ************************************** I am a well travelled Business Man and have sampled Indian Food from around the world. I have been coming to the Saffron Restaurant since it opened 22 years ago with my friends and family, even my Business Friends and Colleagues. Banquet night Thursday and Sunday is always a good opportunity to try another dish, and the waiters are always willing to advise you on the menu. In fact over the 22 years, I believe that I've been through the menu and never ever had a bad meal and had a need to complain and the food is always good value for money. The service is always excellent and the majority of staff are family either in the kitchen or in the restaurant. If I haven't booked a table, the fanily will always endeavour to accommodate my needs and if they are unable to then their Takeaway Service including deliveries to some areas within a suitable radius is always considered and in all cases you can Book a table Online and Order a Takeaway Online. Unfortunately you'll never please all of the people all of the time because unfortunately we all have our own perception of good food and service. But I hope that I have dispelled any doubt or apprehension that you may have in visiting the restaurant. As I say - If in doubt Check it Out I'm confident that you won't be disappointed. Wow! Top food and I know my indian food having visited the country 5 times. My partner said its the best she has ever had, equally has a good pallet. The flavours kicking around in the mouth were amazing 👏 Samir who took the order was great and recommended a vegetable dish out of this world (Daan sauk) Lovely service from delivery driver. Can't wait to visit again when in town!

I took my brother and his wife for a meal as he turns 60. We had a really lovely evening. The food was great as was the service. I also thought the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend it and I would definitely go back again.

Amazing atmosphere to dine at. Staff were all friendly came with work they were welcoming. Food was served and was delicious! The area was clean and maintained to the highest of standards. Definitely will come back to this restaurant.

We class this as our ‘regular’ Indian restaurant. Food is fantastic, I’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants and this is up there with the best. Service is brilliant- the waiters remember our regular drink and food orders and are always really friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend.

Best restaurant in Clacton by far, good service lovely fresh food big portions for your money and alway same consistency nice pieces of lamb and chicken in dishes and can definitely tell the meats aren't frozen as it’s so tender and juicy and every thing is fresh as they are busy they are preparing daily. Best place for a curry. MUST TRY IF YOU HAVEN'T.

Have visited this restaurant for over 15 years.nothing is too much trouble.. They will adapt the menu to you and advise as to the best combo recommendation to starter to main. I know my flavors as had worked in the spice industry for 16:years and I can honestly say that its the most authentic tasting flavour I have tastest

20 minute wait we were initially told. 60 mins later still waiting. Now I remember why we stopped coming here! Honesty about timescale would be better. Food is good, but not worth the wait! Shocking service!

We have been regulars every Saturday night for our takeaway for the last 4yrs, but tonight I'm so fed up, called at 6:15pm to be told call back in 10mins as busy, so called back at 6:30 placed order told would be an hour as busy, and here we are two and a half hours later still waiting!!!! Won't be using again

Called in an order at 8.20pm told me it would be an hour and ten minutes, so I said 9.30pm then, they said no an hour and ten minutes, I said yeah 9.30pm and I'm just making sure as we're out so need to make sure I'm home! They eventually agreed. Got home at 9.25pm, 9.40pm no food, called and they first said v busy but I said I only ordered over an hour ago and all agreed.. they said but been v busy, then they said we actually don't have your order because we've been very busy tonight. I said I understand that you've been busy but why didn't you tell us when we ordered?
