Haven't stayed there, but have been for lunch there a few times recently. The food is very good, reasonably priced, and the staff are attentive and friendly. Will definitely go again.

Myself & partner visited this pub whilst touring the South Downs on our motorbike. We both had Roast lamb, and it did not disappoint. The lamb was tender, and there was ample portions, and the veg was cooked well. The portions were huge, I couldn’t squeeze in one of their homemade desserts. The staff were very accommodating (As we hadn’t booked), very professional and attentive. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and is cosy. All in all we were very happy with our trip here and would recommend this pub.

We visited for a roast dinner and it was more than we could anticipate. The service was slow but the manager was on top of it during this very busy period. We had the roast beef which was cooked perfectly and came with a huge yorkshire pudding and a great assortment of veg. All very tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pudding was very good too. It was a little pricey but for the quality and amount it was spot on. I would go again and recommend going. Id like to also try the normal menu.

Bunch of us visited after a walk. Good selection of beers plus coffee and hot chocolate for the non drinkers. Excellent bowl of chips too. Other diners having lunch looked good. Good and friendly service. Can't score rooms as only in pub.

Absolutely epic food. We had a table of 8 plus a child and the staff gave fantastic service and the food was incredible. Definitely recommend! Gluten free options were available (including garlic bread) and the pub is dog friendly.

Host's bent over backwards for us and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was hot and lovely.

Lovely friendly staff and nice beers! Highly recommend the Neck oil and goodens gold!! However there seems to be a problem with their goodens gold as it evaporates very quickly... Pretty sure this is my new local xx
