What a pub! The staff are very friendly and always greet you with s smile. The whole place (in & out) is immaculate and you can tell it is well looked after. We ordered the burgers and they Did not dissapoint, once of the best burger meals we've had and the chips were amazing! Highly recommend and great for the family. Enjoy....

Delicious jacket potato with coronation chicken. Just how I like them crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Lovely helpful staff.

We went there 2 years ago for a firework event, which was amazing, parked at the village hall down the road and walked down to the pub, reasonably priced drinks and what an atmosphere!!! Would definitely pop in during the day or if they have another event 👍🏼

The nicest staff I have ever met, Hannah is so lovely. The food completely blew my expectations. honestly one of the best experiences I have had at a pub 10 out of 10 from me. I can not wait to come back.

Have just eaten from the new Spring Menu. Brisket burger was very tasty. Chicken Burger was delicious. All round great homecooked food. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food, nice beer, friendly helpful staff and sensible pricing; highly recommended! We went for an evening meal as a group of 11. The staff were very accommodating and extremely helpful. The food was great and all 11 of us got our food at the same time and at the right temperature! The members of our group, whether younger or older were all made to feel welcome. Plus it the wake of Covid, being able to sit comfortably in a sheltered and partially enclosed marquee on a late September evening; whilst enjoying plenty of space is a massive bonus! Visited Clavering today for their open garden day and parked at the fox and hounds car park. The landlady was lovely and made us some coffees and let us use the loo even though she wasn't really open yet. We went back after visiting the gardens and had a delicious ploughman's and a burger lunch, accompanied by a couple of beers. Lovely time and highly recommend this pub for the friendliness and the best food.

Had great meal for our Anniversary , Great service . Steak and Ale pie for me , Vegetarian Risotto for the wife ,Burger for the boy. and a nice range sweets to follow. Also noticed a large range of Pizza ava . Nice pint of Ghost ship .. Would recommend this for a meal at any time. friendly village pub . Will Return..

Had a take away roast delivered with associated gets. It came a long way from Clavering to Jetparks. Have to say it was such a treat on a cold day! Wonderful.

My wife and I have literally just got in from a meal here. Rather annoyingly, we've been meaning to try this place for some time but have only just got round to it - we've been missing out! First of all, it's a warm and welcoming environment. We had 3 courses - all of which were amazing. My wife had the soup to start and I had the caramelised onion, Stilton & mushroom tart. I then had the burger and my wife had steak, followed by the Belgian chocolate tart and cheese cake - honestly, the food was exceptional. The service was great, friendly, polite and was quick enough that we didn't have to wait but didn't feel rushed either. We both agreed this was one of the best places we've eaten in a long time. On arriving home I did two things: 1. Texted a friend to put a date in the diary to take them to this pub. 2. Wrote this review! Honestly, so impressed and can't wait to go back. We live just down the road so think we will now be regulars here. To the staff - many thanks. To the management - don't change a thing - everything is perfect. Thank you again :-)

Fantastic pub and staff . Went there for a Christmas meal on Saturday night with 10 girly friends . The food was outstanding . The landlord did a Robbie Williams tribute act the whole pub was dancing . Haven't laughed so much in ages , as we all had a terrific time .

Food was good but not very friendly welcome by the landlord especially as the pub wasn't that busy he could have made more of an effort especially if he wants locals to use the pub.

Had a great evening with superb food and very attentive service .will recommend to all friends and relatives.

Superb food. We just had a meal here for the first time & can't fault it at all. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful meal today. Really enjoyed food, drink and the atmosphere. Service was excellent, very helpful. I am glad we have such a great place in the village. I wonder what is it going to be like in the summer - outdoor space (thinking of my toddler). Is there anything for him to play at? The only little thing is - it would be great to have maybe couple more vegetarian options in the menu. I hope your business will grow, we are planning to come back!

Our lovely local, good food,good drinks and good company

We had some great times in the F&H over the Christmas period, weather we just popped in for and drink or a sit down meal we always found the staff nice, welcoming and friendly even on the times they were crazy busy. We are back in France now but the F&H will be of our first stops when we come back to the UK later in the year. I say well done you an excellant start, long may your success in the this wonderful old pub continue....
