Fantastic venue for a party. Separate function room plenty of space but with an intimate feel.
Excellent service, from booking to the night itself, the staff and manager were more than accommodating friendly, and nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏 🙌 😀 😊

Food is all cooked from scratch and the staff are really friendly. Small but excellently done menu.
If you're anywhere near EAT HERE.
Will be returning.

Amazing family pub always something planned or some event going on , landlord puts a lot into the pub and it's a smashing pint.
Only improvement would be a pork pie to go with the pint !
Definitely recommend this pub amazing for family's and dogs allowed also.

It was good, clean, reasonably priced and had a good vibe.
If you going to an event outside, Trust the start time if you go later than when is said, chances are you won't get a seat!

Food is absolutely gorgeous. Plenty to choose from on the menu, not your ordinary fish & Chips and pies, although they do sell them as well. Service is good. Plenty if space yo sit comfortable and all at a decent price. We are definitely going back soon.

Went in for the first time in many a long year with my sister for a family meal. Couldn't really fault. Food was a decent standard, and reasonably priced. Your typical pub fair but there's nothing wrong with that as long as its well cooked. I had Black Sheep on draught, again no complaints, bar staff all very friendly. Would have no issues going again.

Had a lovely meal at the New Pack Horse this weekend - the new menu and new chef certainly didn't disappoint. I had the feta to start with and that was spectacular - really tasty and unusual. The Sunday Roast was lovely - the beef was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were spot on. There's always a friendly welcome and an excellent selection of gins here! Looking forward to trying more of the new menu.
Edit - I visited again last night and the food from the normal menu was even better than the fabulous Sunday roast. Three of us shared the sharing platter which is amazing, highly recommend this, the trio of bites are beautiful, there isn't a bad thing on the plate, it's all so tasty and different. We then all had glazed half roast chicken which was literally the nicest chicken I have ever had - it was cooked to perfection and just fell from the bone. The chips were lovely too. We also wanted to try the root vegetable bhajis and ordered these as a side - they were out of this world! It's honestly been a long time since I have enjoyed a meal so much - good work guys!

Visited here for a Christening celebration and was treated with with the warmest of care from the staff all day whilst I was there. They were as accommodating for the children as they were for the elderly which I for one found to be very adhering and made it feel very family oriented. Overall my experience here was fantastic and a massive thank you to all the staff for making it an enjoyable day

Tapas was amazing. Sunday lunch was amazing. Dessert was too big to finish (even though we tried so hard to as it was great). It's not like it's cheap but it's great value for what you get and would 100% recommend

Enjoyed having a couple of beers with my son in law and my 3 year old grandson. We had a great time outside weather was great as was the venue. I ordered a Hammond steak which was very tasty and enjoyable, everything was ok apart from my tomatoes, see picture, they were literally burnt to a cinder, when queried with a member of staff was informed it would be another 15 minutes before they could be replaced. I was offered and accepted a few extra chips as a compromised. Apart from this issue will certainly return

They have tried hard to make it into a gastronomic pub and are nearly there - bar a few niggles.
The food we were served was very obviously frozen then reheated.
But not reheated properly. The deep fried brie was still frozen in the middle and the chicken was raw.
Nobody wants raw chicken........ isn't it dangerous?
It was quickly taken away and an alternative served with no fuss
The main course was very nice apart from maybe the vegetables; they had been standing a while and had dried out a little.
The puddings were delicious and absolutely no complaints there.
The beer and drinks were very reasonably priced ie: fresh orange juice - 50p.
A great pub to take the family for lunch to. It won't break the bank and there is a play area for the kids.
My rating 4/5. Would I go again - probably.
