Had the afternoon tea platter today and it was lovely, lots of choice and plenty for two. It was also presented nicely, and well worth the price. We will definitely return if this stays on the menu. Sarah, our server, was friendly and really lovely - thank you.
We're some Canadian tourists that ended up just passing through Cleethorpes, and came across this place. Outstanding food, great service, and has a nice atmosphere. I can't say enough about this place. We were very happy with our meal there. Highly recommend to anyone.
When lots of people recommend somewhere for Fish n chips then you would be a mug not to visit. Ernie Becketts does not disappoint. Their chips are second to none. Absolutely delicious hand cut golden chips cooked to perfection. The reviews are correct, Ernie Becketts is THE place for Fish n Chips in Cleethorpes.
Go to Cleethorpes two or three times a year and always have a quality fish cooked to order in this wonderful place. Good value for quality. The best in Cleethorpes and possibly the east coast.
By far the best Fish n Chips on the East Coast. Never mind the wait whilst it's cooked fresh, would prefer it in paper still, but the cardboard boxes are far better than the horrid styrene ones. Five stars everytime

Honestly can’t understand the bad reviews. Best fish and chips in cleggy by far , fish actually tastes of fish crispy batter portions are generous only thing is it’s mayflower curry sauce not proper chip shop curry! Xx
I've just had fish chips and mushy peas, considering it was a Friday amd really busy they was flying through orders, the fish was cooked to perfection also served with a smile, you can not beat an Ernie Becketts.

Won't put gravy or peas on due to health and safety..... I mean what utter rubbish is that for an excuse? At least be honest and say we're only doing the serving in the pot and measuring that.
