Review Viaduct Nurseries - Coalpit Heath

Great place to have breakfast food cooked fresh and you can taste it. Service is friendly nothing to much trouble. Go there often as simply the nicest food in the area. Value for money is also excellent.

Great all day breakfast at the Cafe also a friendly deli with many favourite condiments and a couple of other small shops. Good if you need a sign for your gate.

Really good breakfast and the deli and other shops are ideal for gifts. Definitely will be a regular customer. Loads of parking and set in nice grounds

My picture is a child's meal, however I had an adult fish, rustic chips and peas, which was lovely. A bonus is a Deli shop next to the cafe.

Nice café just off the road from ringroad to Coalpit Heath. Had a breakfast that was not greasy at all. A nice surprise! They do standard, large and extra large brekkies. Lunches are also available. Inside and outside seating with toilets available. Fast, friendly service and parking.

What's not to love? Every once in a while, one happens upon an absolute gem of a place to sit down and eat. The Viaduct Cafe is no exception to this general rule - what an outstanding experience my friend and I had today. There are menu's for breakfast, lunch/afternoon and cream teas/afternoon teas are also available (please allow a minimum of 12 hours notice when booking cream/afternoon tea). We both decided on the tuna mayonnaise toastie with chips (you can have crisps instead if you wish) and a generous garnish of fresh salad and excellent homemade coleslaw. We were absolutely delighted with the quality and pesentation of our impromptu lunch; the bread was beautifully fresh and lightly toasted, the filling of tuna mayonaise was generous with lots of good-quality tuna which wasn't drowned in mayonnaise as is often found in other establishments as a cost-reducing measure. The salad was fresh and crisp and the chips were freshly cooked. The coleslaw here is something else - incredibly creamy, crunchy, satisfyingly tasty and well-seasoned. The tea was very nice too, especially for those of us who enjoy a fuller-flavoured tea, Deb left the teabags in our cups so that we could have it as strong as we liked which we appreciated. There is ample offstreet parking right outside the premises, with disabled spaces immediately next to the wheelchair-accessible entrance. There is a pleasant outdoor area with seating, covering and what I assume is a bar-type area - this will be superb for warmer days. One could happily sit and watch the young deer eating the apples fallen from any one of several apple trees in the wooded area opposite! This establishment is spotlessly clean, elegantly decorated and well-presented, and the staff are wonderful. I met Deb today who was working incredibly hard to look after diners as well as a multitude of other tasks - she's very industrious and not fazed by multitasking at speed! Deb is also incredibly pleasant, talkative and nothing is too much trouble. Overall, this was one of those truly exceptional experiences and I'll be visiting on a weekly basis from now on. As a side note they also sell gift cards - the ideal gift for someone who already has everything! They also have a breakfast challenge - The Victory Breakfast - for those with enormous appetites matching an enormous stomach capacity!! Thank you to Deb and gang, looking forward to stopping in again next Thursday!

We had a talk and petting experience at the weekend at the animal rescue which our girls loved, Sara and Adrian are very knowledgeable. We also ate the cafe which had very nice food. Plants are very reasonable priced. I will be going back in future.
