Friendly pub.
Visited twice, Tuesday evening just for drinks and enjoyed lovely pints of Cumberland Cream. Gin n Tonics are priced well for 2 drinks.
Returned on Wednesday night for drinks and meal.
Ordering around 7pm, several items not available due to demand and their practice of limiting waste.

As soon as we walked in, both me and my husband were made to feel very welcome. Great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. Surprisingly good. Clearly a pub for the locals rather than the tourist trade and quite rough and ready. Not that we weren't made to feel very welcome! We were! and we found the inside very comfortable. Offers a full programme of guest singers, quiz nights, board games and an excellent man creche 😁

Amazing pub , we came by chance and absolutely loved the food , the customer service was top notch and couldn't fault this place , Friendly atmosphere , would come again , however we are on holiday and live a few hundred miles away

Called in here as we were staying local. This is a lovely welcoming pub. We only had sandwiches when we are but they were generous portions & the main meals people were eating looked lovely and great portions. Visited The Bush thus afternoon, not planned just a walk-in. Best steak pie ever had, with proper chips. Will be back again. Service was very friendly. This place needs highlighted for the quality food.
Amazing food. The whole family had a great lunch. All the food was cooked from scratch and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend if you're in Cockermouth.
