Lorton Village Shop - Cockermouth - Photo album

Popped over to Lorton village shop after a long walk in Whinlatter for some fresh veg and bread. Great to see food in a brown paper bag, and the bread was lovely, really fresh as you would expect. Bought potatoes eggs onions carrots and a nice steak pie for the trip back home. Oh and sausage as well
Have driven past a couple of times, but finally cycled over to the shop today. What a little gem...selling a great combination of essentials, treats, lots of lovely local items, hot drinks and ice creams. I was happy to find quite a few vegan items, including homemade flapjacks, sausage rolls and bo
Outstanding shop and also a nice place to have a cuppa. Very friendly owners who provide an excellent service.
Great little village shop with local and fresh produce. Fairly priced
So lovely to see a village shop with a fantastic range of organic, local and good quality products. We stopped here for some provisions on our glamping trip and the staff were very friendly as well. Would definitely stop by again if we are in the area!
Today Patrick and I went for a coffee and a bite to eat from here. We had initially tried to do the same at the Kirkstile. Fantastic local shop, my partner and I stayed in cottages just up the road from this shop. After a long drive from London it was great to be able to walk to a local shop, and what a treat it was, local produce which tasted fantastic, great quality and a chance to invest local businesses. On our fina
Wonderful local shop and cafe, wide selection of tea and coffee. Right on the sea 2 sea cycle route. They call themselves the shed with a view and what a view it is. Customer toilet, tap to refill water bottles, even tyre pressure pump. Well done.
A perfect storm of local produce, gifts and proper coffee! Make no mistake, this is not a your typical village store. It sells exactly what you need whether your on holiday or a local resident. And at times things you didnt know you needed untill you walked in. You will often find us in their garden
Great find, lovely scones and pies, not to mention coffee or ice cream to set you up for Whinlatter pass. Happy to refill water bottles. Nice seating area around the back.
