Alternative Takeaway

Originally I had low expectations but only because of the takeaways we have at home! Ordered the steak burger and it was phenomenol! Bolognese pizza was outstanding. Above anything else, the service was above and beyond. Really appreciate the helpful staff. Definitely will return when in the area again.

Well impressed. Wasn’t sure what to expect from reading some mixed reviews on Google but was very happy with our food this evening. We had a pizza, kebab and kids nuggets and chips. All was really tasty and would definitely come here again. Really nice atmosphere whilst waiting for our food; staff chatted to us. Overall…. Great!

We stayed locally whilst being on holiday. Phoned through our order, chap on the other end very helpful and polite. Food arrived, prompt and hot and without issue. The food itself was very nice, chicken kebabs and homemade steak burger were well made and tasty. Being from London our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Great place!

A regular of mine for a number of years on and off. Alternative Takeaway is a real treat for anyone who enjoys a good kebab or pizza at a very reasonable price. Recently just had the 12" mighty meat (careful everyone...it's a pizza, keep your dirty minds in check) and was pleasantly surprised 🤣🤣🤣. Normally I go for the wraps which are a decent portion for what it's worth also, and very difficult to say no when you want to save some for another time (if that's your bag). The owner and his team are friendly and are always up for a chat when it's possible due their busy schedule (they do get inundated with a lot of outside orders, which tells you straight away that they have a good following). The only gripe I do have is they do not have Chicken doner on their menu, but that's not too much of an issue with me. Overall I do recommend this place highly if Turkish Cuisine is your thing.

Me and my partner live close by and we wanted a takeaway, we decided alternative as we've been there before and know their food is good but Mt partner had a bit of a strange order of a large box filled with hand donner kebab meat and the other half chicken and just loads of salad whereas I ordered the southern fried chicken wrap, the satff were very accomodating and it came to just under £20 the food came to us hot and just tasted amazing, can definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice takeaway for decently priced money, very happy with quality of food and service!
