1st time here and what a place!! Love going to have a mooch in garden centres and we're always looking for different ones!! Great place!! The food was great too apart from the bit of mould on my brioche bun! Can't complain though as the replacement was sorted out in no time. Will be back again soon - takes more than a little mould on my bun to put me off. Service was great though!!
Wide selection of plants, gardening equipment, Edinburgh Woollen Mill shop,
Stacks of Christmas decorations, quaint restaurant (still have waiting staff)! Staff pleasant and friendly. Ample parking spaces. Could be better sign posted. Scones a little bit stodgy. Clean and plenty of room to wander around.
I've given a 4* rating as this was my first visit to this garden centre, passing through from A to B so to speak. I had a quick look around the outdoor plant department and the standard seemed good and reasonably priced. Lots of franchises within the centre itself which will be investigated on a future visit.
The staff in the Greenhouse Restaurant are great. Admittedly I only called for a cappuccino (!) but there was a nice leisurely vibe to the place. There were many customers there partaking of Sunday roasts, again, something that I must try in future.
The (gents) toilets are clean and very presentable.
Will certainly call again.
Garden Centre. Centre for garden stuff. I'm not into gardening or garden centres. I took my wife and my mother in law here. They were extremely happy. I did enjoy photographing some of the plants and looking at the fish. The restaurant was also quite nice. Decent lunch and friendly staff. If I ever develop a love of gardening, then I will come back.
Well priced, good food in the restaurant for decent prices. It's not fast food, it's good food done quickly.
One star missing. VR experience was short and my headset didn't work. Refund given with no fuss.
A lovely garden centre to visit, disabled friendly. Adequate parking, nice layout of products and set areas. Having The Works have a branch inside is a lovely addition. The gift section is great with unique items. Best solar selection of lights and water features in all garden centres I have seen. The cafe is great, I recommend pancakes with bacon and syrup for breakfast. All in all a lovely place to visit, it's just a shame about the state of the roads to get there as there are a few nasty potholes on route.
Huge christmas decoration selection and the talking/singing reindeer are a must see for the kids! We visited just before so there was a lovely pumpkin patch with a great selection of various sizes! An outdoor section and also a 'The Works' shop inside!
The cafe had a great selection of drinks, cakes, and foods where you can chill on the sofas or sits at the tabled area. Great atmosphere!
Really nice garden centre. I can recommend the restaurant. Lovely food reasonably priced and the staff are really friendly and helpful
Garden Centre itself is very nice and clean. Lots of helpful items as well as plants Had a meal in the restaurant. Very unimpressive. We both had the ploughman's lunch. 3 cherry tomatoes, hand full of lettuce, side dish of pickle, chunks of ham , and cheese, burnt bread rolls. It was edible but has put us off going again. I don't like doing less than satisfactory reviews but I'm afraid this just had to be done
One of the oldest and best garden centres in the area. I remember going here as a child looking at tents and stuff, but now at 58, I go for the great range of gardening stuff and the tropical fish. Prices are fair for what is largely very good quality. Pop in for a coffee and a look around, there's lots to see.
This garden centre is well organised and very well presented.
The indoor and outdoor plants are well presented. There is an extensive range if plants on offer. They are healthy plants.
Compost and decorative stones are available.
The staff are well informed and happy to help.
There is a rather pleasant cafe too.
There are toilets available.
Lovely garden centre and so many franchises to look at as well as the garden centre itself. A bit disappointed with the Greenhouse Kitchen on recent visit as some staff unhelpful and a bit rude, apparently because they were busy. I ordered 2 lattes, one with oat milk and when they arrived I asked which was which, to be told that I would be able to tell if I sniffed them!!!
First time here , first thing DISABLED parking 😒 had plant displays on a few bays , by the Entrance . There are wheelchairs ♿️ but they are by the checkouts / Exit , Spotted on exiting. A Fabulous display of plants , gifts , tools and equipment etc . There are toilets 🚻 and good cafe , resonable priced . Came away with bargain plants ,I'm happy & will return
I visited to purchase clothing from the Edinburgh Woollen Mill concession located inside the garden centre, with which I was very pleased. I found a good selection of what I needed, and there were changing rooms there too. Plenty of on-site parking too.
Really good garden centre - strong on both indoor and outdoor plants, bird feeders and foods, plus nice general shopping stuff. Found the system for compost and similar heavy bulky bagged items really good - stored close to car park and pay at till. Shout out to Jack, the member of staff who helped me get four bags of compost into my car - and came across as really happy to help with that.
