The booking, ordering crabs and oysters ahead of time was easy and handled well. It’s VERY tiny and has one stove with an open window to vent and one VERY hard-working cook with a ragtag crew, BUT STILL one of the best food experiences ever. The über-fresh crab, shrimp, oysters were utterly amazing. Do not miss the perfectly-cooked chilli squid! We had waves of food cheerily brought out. The place was noisy, full of feast debris and a shrine to eating well with no pretension. Absolutely fantastic. We went on a Sunday and if you can’t get in there are a LOT of alternative places with good fare and pricing. Parking is tough, be prepared to drop off the faint-hearted and go fight for a space on a front lawn of one of the patient islanders!

Popped in for cockles and anchovy fillets to takeaway and was looked after by an extremely friendly and engaging lady who went out of her way to offer a smaller amount of Anchovies to suit by budget and appetite... Thank you very much, and I will definitely be back because of how I was engaged even when the place was really busy with eat-in guests.

The seafood was fab! Fresh & delicious. We had pre booked over a week in advance. Unfortunately, we were seated on an outside table, right on the kerbside without any shade on a very sunny hot day. When we asked to be moved we were told nothing was available - fully booked. The service was slow & unprofessional. I was given a dirty glass, our drinks were not served at all & our food order took a long time - it was delicious though.

Simply - truly fantastic seafood. For info, they now sell beer and wine but you can still BYO. More importantly, they now require BOOKINGS. Without one they'll try and fit you in but you're risking a wasted journey. Lots of review and rating websites still say no booking allowed. Ps apologies for the photos - we started eating before I thought to get any pictures! There's also a good and drink festival coming up August 2023.
