Great atmosphere nice selection of good food that was reasonable priced. A proper dog friendly pub as ours was allowed inside in the bad area. Well worth a visit.

Has a fairly large restaurant area away from the bar and a large garden with play area and seating.
Burger and bottle of beer special for £10 on Tuesday evenings is a great deal!
After 2 failed attempts at different restaurants for lunch yesterday we found you and 3rd time lucky , we had a lovely meal the 6 of us with our little doggy who was welcomed and the service was great and just wanted to thank you.
Your menu is spot on and something for everyone with reasonable prices which is a bonus when we are a large family .
Thank you again and keep it up , if we ever holiday here again we will be back to visit .

The Sunday roast beef option was not as I'd expected. Small pieces of beef and no Yorkshire pudding. This was the 'large' version and wasn't cheap. Veg was great, service great, beer superb.. service 5☆
Fairly basic menu but foods good. Very friendly staff and you don't have to book like all the other places on mersea island.
Cycled down to the fox on our bikes. Had a breakfast sat outside was lovely. Food was excellent. Service was excellent recommended
Good pub and friendly staff, but please sort the Guinness out. Should be a two part pour, first pour at 45 degree angle that's left to settle for one minute before second pour.

First time at The Fox but certainly won't be the last. The best Ham, egg and chips I've eaten for for a very long time.
