My first time at the Fat Cat, and it was nice - loads of options for drinks, and if you go at the right time they do food as well. The place isn't massive, but they have a very small outside area and also a small open area upstairs. I had the Korean Chicken Burger with my pint, and it was delicious.

My partner and I went in last weekend to try out their new pizza oven and it was amazing, by far the best pizza I've had! Could tell it was all handmade and with fresh ingredients! The staff were beyond lovely as well, will definitely be going back soon!

Freindly pub with plenty of beer choices, however no stouts other than Guinness. Had a few local brews too. Came during pizza night, although pizza was slow to serve it was tasty!
Fantastic little pub on the edge of town, with more cask ale then you can shake a shakey thing at and at least 15 Belgium beers in bottles.
Lovely place, smart indoor seating and a nice new little roof terrace, too.
Really nice landlord and bar staff, great selection of ales and beers/lagers as well as wines and spirits.
Shame we're only visiting the area or it would be a local for sure.

Great selection of beers although a little on the pricey side. It's a small dinky pub with great modern character. The only downside was that the menu had the old prices on and boy have the prices gone up in a short period 👀
First pint back in a pub and as always The Fat Cat did not disappoint. Great selection of beer, very hospitable and attentive staff/owner.
All in all if you like ales then this the place for you. We will go back to Colchester just to visit this place.
