Super area, very clean and super tidy. Staff are working hard making your orders as quickly as possible and service with a smile. Everything was ready within 10 minutes and the staff cleaning tables was friendly and said hello
Will be retuning

Great food on the special menu, service was a little slow though. Had a wait at the register and had to flag down a worker to come and serve.

A very good McDonald's with plenty of car parking. The burgers were nice and the chocolate milkshakes had more chocolate flavor than any other McDonald's that I have visited. Open 24 hours too!

A very pleasant viewpoint. One can take photos with church domes in the background on one side and windmills on the other side. An easy trek to this point makes it even more appealing to families etc. Even for people on a day trip to Oia, this can be a good spot to cover

As Mcdonald's go this is not a bad one. So ordered off the App and then went to the drive through. Was pretty quiet which was good. Staff friendly and helpful as per and the food was as you expect. Hot but not too hot. Toffee Latte was nice and had a decent amount of syrup in it. The only thing I would criticise this one for is at busy times the queue can be terrible. With the area being shared you can wait for ages to get parked due to the drive thru being backed up or the sports centre being busy. Maybe a redesign so if you wanted to just park you could get into the car park without being held in the queue for the drive thru but apart from that not a bad Maccers really 👍🏼

After a good play session in Castle Park this MacDonalds is accessible with a toddler and a pushchair on foot in decent weather. Friendly staff and a decent bite to eat. It was clean although one or two menu items were not available.

It was ok had to wait a while sometime the food that was advertised was not available as I asked for a Grilled chicken sweet chilli wrap but unfortunately the grills wasn't working !!! Oh and no strawberry sundaes which disappointed me greatly, I love those but they do an excellent apple pie, making my mouth water lol
They don't seem to have the Sweet chilli grilled chicken wrap option down the bottom of this post so gonna go with spicy chicken option ok.

Friendly and efficient staff. Very tasty well prepared food and a clean pleasant environment.
The breakfast flat bread I had was delicious. Not overcooked or scantily filled, which is more than I can say for our local McDonald's version.
We dined in and also had take out. Good quality experience each time.

sometimes this place is so very busy theres a queue right to the door. Apart from that downer you get good food once you get served. Its a big Macdonalds as they go

Ok so McDonald's. we've all heard of it, hey, most of us have eaten there. But what really fries my onions is: go in for a McFlurry? Sorry not available. Damn, ok option B, liquid McFlurry. Chocolate thickshake? Sorry not available. At this point I'm deciding which fate is worse: the fact I will have to part with my hard earned cash with a pitiful option C or plow my way thru the cars to get the crap out of the drive thru.
I tried my luck with option C, a more solid state of desert, the chocolate doughnut? Sorry, we don't have those either......
Ok so it this point I can see myself foot hard on the accelerator, smashing my way through these cars and humans, limbs flying everywhere. Then I thought: oh. How about a mocha frappe? (my preferred choice at another branded drive thru chain that rhymes with barstucks)
Praise the lord, they have it. And with such delight I purchased said treat and it was wonderful. Although not my first choice it was a very exquisite delight. That being said I could not detract from the fact this was, indeed option D, and for that reason, I'm giving this establishment 3 stars.
Good effort, needs more stock.

In my opinion, the Cowdray Center Mcdonalds is the best one in Colchester. Located at the bottom of Caste Park next to Leisureworld and the bowling alley, it is just out of the town center enough for you to be able to eat in there peacefully, as it is never particularly busy. The drive-thru is excellent, aiming for each customer's drive thru experience to take about 120 seconds at the most which is actually not too far off as they are very efficient. The staff are mostly students due to it's location, but they have all been very friendly in my experience, particularly compared to other mcdonalds that I have visited in the past.
It is a good mcdonalds to take children, with a lovely children's area with balloons and activities.

McDonald's Cowdray is, well, McDonald's, isn't it? The 'restaurant' does as you expect cheap food quickly. You cannot really fault the service, as food is delivered quickly and, if you are lucky, with a guttural grunt from one of the resident school-leavers. Although it has a reputation of being an unhealthy option, McDonald's has recently introduced new healthy lines. But, to be honest, if you were a young child being taken to McDonald's as a treat, what would you prefer yummy deep-fried chips or raw carrot sticks? I know what I would choose! In all, a highly predictable but tasty choice for quick food.

What is there new to say about McDonalds? The locations are handy if you've been shopping at the local diy centre and you need a bite to eat. They always have a wide range on offer and it's quick and easy. Something for everyone

you must be familiar with mr Crocs franchise, unless your from out of space. the destruction this place has cause is phenominal. but the chicken burger is also phenomenal. so what do you do. you go there and get a chicken burger and then sit upstairs and use your laptop for four hours and then it feels like you are screwing with their system, so you can take some solace from your contribution to the Mcworld we live in. good service, friendly staff. depending on the time of day there can be a lot of screaming from children and from new staff.

this is the better of the 2 in colchester.
