Thank you to Jess and Andrea for a warm welcome and great customer service, and thank you to the chef, Kieran who cooked everything as asked, well done... Will return and recommend
Cromwell’s Aberdeen Angus makes the best steak around. Highly recommend the great value special ‘cluck and moo fondue’.
Only in drinking on what was a very busy Saturday lunch time. Excellent atmosphere - Dillon working single handed behind the bar (at the time) - at one point was pouring a beer for a customer whilst cashing out another. Great to watch him, never stopped.
Everything was amazing! Lovely pub with lovely staff, Sam at the bar is lovely and very welcoming. Live sports on the tvs is a great addition. Massive car park and beer garden. Would 100% recommend to anyone!
This pub is well worth the visit.
Plenty of choice on the menu, great prices.
The quality of the food was excellent.Everything we had was
fresh and full of flavour.
The waitress was new to her job but was super helpful, very polite
and very attentive.
Keep up the great work.
Oww and a bonus is that’s it’s dog friendly.
I truly recommend this place to eat.
Went in off spec and was very impressed by service. The food was great I had fish and chips mushy peas very reasonable and very nice.Tozzy had a sweet and really nice.A lovely gentleman in there say No more but makes you realise there are lovely people out there
Very busy pub. Nice food, quick service. Quite noisy but we were sat near the bar and there was a children's party. Would go again.
It's a nice pub, designed quite well, not managed to try the food yet but will do when I get returned
Over the years I’ve been paid to write many things, but this one I’m doing for free!
Cromwell’s Pub in Collingham is a good pub - for many reasons. Take the car park for instance ... it’s big and clearly wide-lined. And so too is the H-UG-E outside grassed area for customers to unleash their noisy kids without causing other customers any undue trouble. Also outside is a well presented outdoor bolthole that attracts the sun with a plastic roof surrounded with what I can only term as ‘glamping’ booze sheds which offer somewhere to canoodle with a neighbour’s wife in utter private if that’s your thing.
Now, I’m not a gregarious person. In fact, I can be antisocial and grumpy. Which means I can enter this nice, clean establishment, say Hello everyone and then hide in any one of the comfy chairs in any one of the little corners to read my lousy newspaper while glimpsing at one of the many sports based TV’s that are dotted about? Otherwise the pub is great for hail well met locals having a good laugh and banter, extended families, the Zimmer frame mob, doggy people or young people in tight jeans and bare midriffs.
The beer is good, reasonably extensive and the food seems like decent pub grub – busy on a Sunday.
The staff are all genuinely smiley, attentive and helpful, apart from one occasional youth who’s monosyllables are uttered between a diction-less verbal exchanges that is hard for the Zimmer frame lot to hear.
It’s a pub for everyone ... even grumpy buggers like me!
Great setting with plenty of parking and outside space, good menu and food was tasty, one star missing due to large time gap from ordering to service and it wasn't over busy.
Love this place, we drive up regularly from Whinmoor. Food is amazing, the outside area is brilliant and the bank holiday entertainment is always a great day out.
LOVE this place. The landlady, Hayley, was superb. Really personable. Made us feel right at home. Will defo be back. And would highly recommend x
Took the family for sunday lunch and had a great meal, was able to set up a tab to make my life easier (3 young kids and a pensioner) and had a great experience so would highly recommend.
This was the first lunch out we had following having our baby 😊
The outside space is really nicely done out with lots of sheltered spaces.
The vegan menu is great with lots of options that fit in alongside the rest of the pub grub. Thank you for having this! It's separate from the main menu so you may have to ask for it.
The staff were very friendly but could have been a little better organised as all the staff seemed to be serving all the tables which left the service a little confused at times - zoning the restaurant could help with this.
I'd give our visit 5* but the beer options were a little disappointing (either that or our server didn't know what beers are available other than standard lagers). A full drinks menu would have been useful whilst table service is required as it's hard to know what's available.
Lovely log fire, food was delicious and plenty. Very helpful and friendly staff. Non alcoholic drinks such as lime and soda with a wedge of lime was 25p, which is a first. So annoying when you go to a pub and get charged £1 for water, its about time drivers are looked after!. Definitely go back
Came here for a work meal, table of 10, the service by Steph and Andrea was lovely! Food was good quality and came out in good time. Good facilities! Would come back again!
