Review No 14 At The Georgian House - Comber

Helene Graham
Very welcoming staff. Service quick and efficient. Good choice of menu. We chose scallops and cod cheek dishes for starters. The former was outstanding, the cod cheeks in coating a little dry but still enjoyable. Both of us had the halibut dish as mains with sides of greens and Comber potatoes. Absolutely first rate. The bean cassoulet and asparagus were perfect accompaniments. Only minor criticism was the deep, small bowl the course was served in. It made it hard to eat the food easily. The desserts we chose were pear tartin and the chocolate fondant special. Again first rate dishes. The young chef, Peepa, in charge of the desserts should be congratulated for creating such wonderful dishes. The fondant was one of the best I have ever tasted. Overall a superb meal at a reasonable price.

I recently had a splendid dinner here with my boyfriend and his family. As the only vegetarian on our table with some intolerances I felt that the No. 14 team did a fantastic job accommodating to my needs, sharing a wide selection of options that were delicious. The pear and ewes cheese salad was just mouthwatering! We will absolutely be coming back to try out more of their delicious menus.

Delicious food...the fry was top class, great ingredients and beautifully cooked. The French toast was awesome too. Excellent friendly service too. We'll def be back, particularly since they're dog friendly!!

Visited No.14 again today 25 Sept. For the Jazz event, we sat outside under a canopy. Again the food was Very good and the service was excellent, it had even improved from our last visit. The music was a welcome bonus! The regular menu is a little tame but the Specials - brilliant , see the photo! Make sure to ask for the specials board. The chef (and his kitchen team) has real talent 👍😁 One of the best menus for specials we've ever seen. The food was top quality. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. If I was to pick up on anything it perhaps lacks a little bit of finesse with the condiments. Overall though great food, lovely presentation,a visit would be well worth it! Great fish!

Had breakfast here a few days ago, first visit to No.14 in a long time. The breakfast was hot, well presented and tasty. The reason I am giving 4 stars is that the tea arrived quite a while before the meal, however the quality was very good and the staff were attentive and friendly. As I was a bit pushed for time I didn't ask for hot water or a refill but will do next time as will certainly be returning.

An amazing restaurant providing fantastic food and service! The specials menu served up a plethora of options making great use of local ingredients. The scallops starter and duck breast main were excellent and the creme brulee dessert was divine!

I went in for breakfast and ordered the large Ulster fry which was quick to come out and was all cooked very well. Both the staff and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

Amazing food and great service. All you can ask for and more. Brilliant if you have the wee ones as well. Nothing is too much trouble. Back to the food... it's amazing.

Lovely garden and great ambience. Food is very delicious and nicely presented also. The only reason for 4 stars is that during our visit, the waiting staff had been rather disorganised and confused with taking orders, knowledge of their menu (lack thereof), and checking on us if we needed anything midway.

Visited No14 on Sunday for a special family celebration for 24 people. Fresh seasonal food was the order of the day- the halibut was cooked to perfection! The chef and his team made it a day to remember. Would highly recommend.
