My family eat at this pub often. We are even booked in here for Christmas Day lunch this year! It is a charming pub, with friendly staff, that serve good pub grub! However on this particular Sunday it was rammed to the rafters, the service was slower than normal, and at 2pm on a Sunday they had run
A pleasure to stay here and easy to recommend. The staff are truly lovely and always cheerful, professional and happy to help. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The food is fantastic and has some real stand out dishes. Certainly better than most similar style pubs/inns. Fair prices given
Lovely country pub. Hotel room was very nice if a little on the small side. Got very warm in the recent heatwave but plenty of outdoor seating in the shade and the landlord was happy for us to stay sat out after they had closed up. They do close the bar surprisingly early though (around 10pm on a Sa
Had a lovely Sunday roast dinner here. Absolutely gorgeous. However service was a bit chaotic and disorganised. Sat at table for 20 minutes waiting to place our drink order. When drinks finally arrived meal literally came out less than 5 minutes later. Hopefully just a one off. Wouldn't hesitate to
We called in here after visiting Castaway Play. The food looked good online and it seemed to have a country pub look and feel to it. Our initial reactions were that the service was awful. Our waitress was unpleasant and never came back to take our order (we had to go and ask to order). They slightl
Very busy but staff were calm and apologised for slow service . Food good and generous portions Loo very clean . Bitter shandy cool on a very hot day Can accommodate seating for family of 7 comfortably if you book .
Went here for Sunday lunch with my family, was really good. Vegetarian option was ok, although beetroot felt like an odd choice. Yorkshire pudding and gravy very good. Berry crumble also good.
Food was good, staff were attentive, polite and helpful. Would recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to celebrate.
Had a family meal it was delicious & plenty of food 😋 great service , will definitely be going again.
A very nice pub in a great setting near to a lovely church. Called in one evening for a quick pint. Moretti £6.50 a pint 😮. I was gob smacked. I won't be calling again ☹️
Food here was excellent, really good amount of choice on the menu and good kids options too. All the meals we had were superb, especially the kids chicken goujons which had lovely light batter on them. Arancini was another star dish. Very highly recommended!
What a great pub! Ten mins walk from our house and I have a feeling we’ll be making that journey quite often! Food was superb. We ordered the fish and chips, pizza, home-made pie and chicken burger. All were excellent. Service was superb. Cannot fault anything. Definitely will return.
They have an enclosed field, which they rent out to dog owners for £4 per ½ an hour. The field is well kept, clean and has a large gate for you to drive your car straight into the field if necessary. There's even a bowl of water available for thirsty doggies 🐕 Absolutely fantastic 💯
Very friendly, excellent food and service. The only let down is the field for dogs it's completely neglected grass not cut, shed needs repair or replacing, bench needs painting.
Always a pleasure for me to stay at this friendly village pub with the comfy room and excellent breakfasts! Ps. My family visited the restaurant and want to go again just to enjoy more of the varied menu.
