Stunning restaurant on the banks of Coniston Water. It’s famous for appearing in the Swallows and Amazons film.
Food was superb. We had sandwiches and they were incredibly tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely setting, great staff, wonderful food. They don't ram the Ransome connection down your throat, but it's perfect for Swallows & Amazon aficionados. One thing to watch is that the entrance drive is steep and not metalled, ie rough!

Walked to the restaurant from Coniston, some lovely views while having scone and tea. Friendly owners who came to chat. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful little tearoom- stopped for Coffee+ cakes- + a few wines! View is spectacular across Coniston Lake- so relaxing + peaceful- nice little shop as well. Staff super friendly - we will be back nxt year!

Stopped in here after a sweltering day on Coniston . We were met with a very welcoming Catherine who told us our meal options. We had roast beef and lamb and a burger for my boy . The best roast ive had in the best location. But again...Catherine was amazing.

Excellent food freshly made. Exceptional views over the Coniston Lake. Peaceful atmosphere. We will defend be back for more and we will also book one of their cottage here. Oh, they have good local beers too :)
