We spent the morning swimming and sitting on the beach area. Lots of parking and easy accessibility . Good food choices and service. Everything tasted fresh and the smoothies were very refreshing. We are on holiday but would definitely return if in the area.
Also very dog friendly and would recommend the ice creams for people and dogs !!

Kayaked down to Coniston from the other end of the lake for a late breakfast at the Bluebird Cafe. Covered outdoor area was ideal for slightly damp folk and both the service and food was top notch. The extra special hot chocolate is a must if you visit... Thanks so much, will definitely be back!

Beautiful location for a cafe, right on the waters edge with views out over Coniston Water. Freshly made food, with not much waiting time after ordering. Plenty of tables outside and undercover. Well worth a visit

Popular spot, even among the locals. Great point for water sports. The cafe is very busy and Service is average. Tables outside are hard to come by, but worth an attempt. We had the fruit scone with clotted cream and jam, as well as the cheesy scone toasted with butter (excellent and crisp), both washed down with a flat white- everything Was great.

Just had 3 fish and chips in this cafe (not all for me!) while waiting for yhe steam boat and it tasted fantastic. I've been to about 100 chippy places, including Cromer No 1, The Architect (Cambridge), The Bell of Studham and Aldeburgh, and this is probably the best one! The cod was hot, crispy and tasty, and the chips are hot and thin, soft on the inside but crisp on the outside. The service was very good (food came quickly and we didn't wait at all when asking for extra sauce). The toilet was immaculately clean, each cubicle has its own wash basin and drier. And the view was fantastic (looking at Coniston Water)

Mars Bar slice that's a must! We were here for Coniston Powerboat Speed Records Week, so it was busy all the time. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful all the time. Food really good. Lots of benches outside much appreciated. Toilets are lovely and very clean all week. A fabulous cafe in a very special place. Can't wait to go back, thank you all for looking after us all so well

We had a great holiday morning there. Rent a motor boat for 2 and a canoe for 2 persons. The others didn't want to do above water activities, just had a cup of coffee at The Bluebird cafe.
The staffs are good, everyone gets in the water must wear life vests. They also gave us a safety instructions speech. It's a very good and carefully service before you get in water.
We had lunch at the cafe after the water activities. The cafe had really nice view by the lake side. Nice weather to sit out side tables to have a cuppa tea.

Since the flood, it’s been boosted and has grown.
From a snack to a meal. You won’t be disappointed.
Friendly staff and views to die for.
Pity we can only give it 5 stars. 7 would be more appropriate.
Won’t be back for a couple of years due to other things going on. But will definitely be back.

A well located cafe to relax at water side and refuel. There is a good range of drinks and food on offer. The fruit smoothies are very good - we tried the berry and the tropical which were excellent thirst quenchers on a hot day. The coffee machine though needs a good service, or different beans, as the coffee really lacked depth.

This place is simply doing everything right. Great food and drink, excellent and fast service even when it's very busy, dog and child friendly, amazing location. Nowhere better to while away an afternoon.

We just had coffees and cake. My friend had bakewell tart and I had a piece of shortbread both of which were lovely. Gorgeous view. You can sit indoors or outdoors

What a stunning location! Delicious tuna toastie with coleslaw and the deli hotdog was really good too. Lucky enough to sit outside in the sunshine in October. I suspect it must be crazy busy in the summer so go early if that’s when you’re visiting!

Shocking service, the cakes we ordered were brought out to us before our mains, we were over charged, the food was of very poor quality, dry and tasteless. The salad didn't even come with tomatoes and cucumber as described on the menu, jacket potato was dry and cold and the plates were shoved in front of us when they brought them over! Lovely! Kids managing a cafe, eh voila! Awful!

Great views over the lake,dog friendly on the covered patio and heated patio. Prices are a bit on the expensive side for what you get, but it was nice food and the Victoria sponge was to die for! Good coffee and service!

Cakes all top class and made on premises. Hot food from£7 up to £12. Dog friendly outside patio with glass screens and overhead infrared heaters. Very good standards and the Beautiful views come free.

Thought on arrival that the menu looked expensive but assumed it was because of the views . When we got our breakfasts .. mine was cheese and bacon on toast , we realised it's because the foods amazing and so good . We will be back

Arrived to find place heaving! We just happened to arrive during a power boat racing week! It soon became apparent that it was ‘service as normal’! Service was as speedy as normal! Quality of ‘sausage baps’ was as always superb! Love this place!!!

Good value, tasty food with quick service. Didn't try the cakes but they looked delicious! Really pleased that the tables on the terrace with beautiful views of the lake were the dog friendly ones. A great way to end our holiday in the lakes.
