Crown Inn, Coniston - Coniston - Photo album

We visited the Crown, Coniston for lunch on recommendation from a couple we met whilst walking at Tarn Hows. We were welcomed with a nice smile and informed it was ‘Chippy Tuesday’ where fish and chips was on offer for £9.00 just for Tuesdays. We both decided to have the steak and ale pie and thoro
Lovely old inn, lots of character , recently refurbished without loosing its charm. Staff really nice , very helpful. Room was spotless , food was great, also very doggy friendly, dogs can stay over in the rooms for a small fee. So if you don’t like dogs then this isn’t for you. They not allowed in
We've been coming to the Crown for over 20 years, and it's always been good. The refurbishment is stunning. The rooms, food, ambience and location are all exceptional. What makes you want to return though is the staff. They really do care about what they do and make everything that bit extra special
I've been in a lot of hotel rooms and very few of them compare to the excellence of the Crown Inn. Its in Coniston so the location is like God came down and manicured the place. Its a busy pub but they have a brilliant last orders rule whereby the noise level at bed time drops from pleasant pub back
Amazing stay, the room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Service was friendly and restaurant and bar were lovely. Highly recommend.
Stopped for a meal and pleased with the choice because I don’t eat meat. The prawn linguine with tender stem broccoli was superb. My partner had cheese pie plus veg which he really enjoyed. Service and presentation was very good
Unable to fault Everyone and everything absolutely spot on. Beautiful room , high quality and clean fixtures and fitting. Environmentally friendly with lovely touches. Bed and pillows are the best ever. Food was fantastic , full English breakfast with quality produce. Staff were all very friendly an
Attractive pub with a pleasant restaurant space. The food was good, I loved the black forest brownie. The service was a little slow despite it not being very busy but the staff were nice.
Top quality accommodation, in a beautiful location. Quality and comfort, with friendly, efficient service. The room was beautiful. It’s not cheap but you get real value for money here. The food was delicious both at dinner and breakfast.
Came here for a meal with friends because of the good vegetarian and vegan options and was not disappointed. The vegan sweet potato and kale pie was excellent with crispy, fluffy chips and tender but not soggy broccoli. My friends were very pleased with the Sunday vegan roast.. just wish I’d had roo
