Excellent house and gardens. Gardens are extensive and varied. House is interesting, especially the family history and learning about the person. Views and surrounding scenery are worth taking time to view and explore

Excellent place with great views to lake Coniston. The lady at Ruskin pond was fantastic. She took her time and explained everything about the living organisms inside the pond, to our son. The cafe had an excellent variety of very tasty, cooked food. Only unpleasant incident was while inside the caf
