Great fish and chips place in the heart of Consett. As soon as you walk into the shop they ask you if you want fish and cook a fresh one then and there.... they set a timer for each individual fish and serve it, literally couldn't be any fresher. Large fish and chips costs £5.10, only complaint is their garlic sauce, it's too thick and too garlicky.
Good Food, Good People, Good Location. Kebab and chips is my favourite and in the 10 years of getting it here I have never been disappointed. My wife feels the same way about their rissole and chips. The fish is made to order and always nice. The people who own the place are really welcoming and nice. As for the location, there is a small free carpark right across the street, and another much larger one less than 50 yards away. Its simply a really good chippy.

Best place in consent. Kebab meat is to die for and the fish and sausages always have a lovely taste. My son especially enjoys the chips and gravy and the pies. Would highly recommend!!
It's probably the best thing that is in Consett, it's small and basic (but What more do you need), and I'm big fan.
The food that they serve is always as it should be and to be perfectly honest it's really really nice.
Staff are friendly and welcoming and top it off there menu is to satisfy all with a very good value for money.

enjoy small fish and chip shop with friendly staff fish was cooked to order and perfectly cooked with a good portion of chips at good prices. definitely worth popping in. it's on the front street right at the end on the corner.
