We stopped in for lunch and ordered a small fish chips- neither portion was particularly small, but both were delicious, with the best chips I've had in awhile. I would definitely recommend it!
What a beautiful find. We stayed here on Saturday, to celebrate our friends birthday. Absolutely thrilled with every thing. Room was immaculate, tea n coffee, biscuits, even fly spray in toilet but didn't need it!! The view was amazing from our window across the dales for miles. Had a meal in the Resturant couldn't-fault any of it. The quality and quantity was top 5 star. Breakfast was to this morning so much to choose from. A excellent family run pub.. we will be back. Lovely meeting you all and your great team of workers.

We have been holidaying locally & The Wyvill Arms was recommended where we have been staying.
Starting with the phone call to make a booking, we were greeted with a friendly voice and this carried on with our experience at the restaurant.
The service was extremely attentive - nothing was too much trouble.
The food - amazing. My wife and I both had steak and it was cooked to perfection. Our children had fish courses and they were delicious too.
The desserts were amazing - with generous portions.
We had our small dog on holiday with us and there was a lovely seating area for us. There is also a separate seating area where dogs are not allowed so all are catered for!
We thoroughly recommend The Wyvill Arms if you love great food and a friendly, attentive service!More
Feels more like a restaurant with rooms than a village pub, but definitely a "home from home". Delicious menu, featuring a good range including Nigel's famed steaks and some daily specials, all served in very generous Yorkshire portions. Characterful and comfortable rooms, and a fabulously attentive and friendly team, who definitely go the extra mile to look after their guests. We'll be back!
