The Hall is an excellent place to visit, it is full of interesting items belonging to the Constable family. The volunteers are informative and very pleasant. Lots of quirky features. Nice cafe. Lovely walks round the grounds. We had a lovely time.
The Hall & Stables at Burton Constable are truly a beautiful place to visit. You can really make a day of walking around the grounds alone, and there are so many quaint spots to sit and take in the house and views of the gardens. The greenhouse behind the Hall is so lovely, the views are unmatched.
What an amazing house to visit, we go to a fair number of houses both National Trust and English Heritage and not finding one in this area we found Burton Constable on home maps which is a fascinating place which seems more real in comparison. Now run by a trust which The Constable family gave the

Burton Constable is a fabulous property to visit. It is now owned & managed by a private trust, but still associated with the Constable family. The house is impressive, containing 100 rooms, although you can only walk through 32. The furniture, paintings, adornments etc, are very opulent, collected
We had the cobwebs and cream tea tour. We started with a self guided tour of the house. Then our very knowledgeable guide took us around the back areas, servants corridors and attics.
