Right now, it is closed as we are in tier 3, but two weeks ago, we had a lovely lunch there. I am vegetarian and there were several delicious options for me. The other members of our little group also enjoyed their food. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Venue is what it is: uniquely elegant. The service is very attentive, always replenished my glass and attended to my requests. Quality of food was excellent and so was the overall experience.

This was our first visit to the Wolseley to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The interior is wonderful, especially the high vaulted ceiling and impressive chandeliers leading to the sense of a special dining occasion. The standard of food and service is equally excellent. We also had the pleasure of meeting and briefly chatting with the co-founder of the Wolseley restaurant, Mr Jeremy King, whilst he was circulating amongst the diner’s tables, which was a pleasant surprise. Our thanks go to our indefatigable waiter' Neme. Origin of the Wolseley name: The Wolseley restaurants name is a homage to the architect William Curtis Green who designed this architectural gem for Wolseley Motors in 1921 as their regional offices. The ground floor restaurant was originally the car showroom.

Superb service, warm friendly welcome. Glass of water immediately as it was 34 degrees outside. Made extra special as it was a birthday occasion. We were greeted with happy birthday and an extra cake saying happy birthday. Just lovely. The quality of the food was very impressive...honestly the best afternoon tea we have had in some time and very reasonable too. Highly recommend!

A great and lower-priced afternoon tea. Definitely recommend to people who doesn’t want to spend big bucks going to the traditional afternoon teas.

I was delighted to return to the Wolseley for brunch, for me an absolute “must do” if you want a quintessential English eating experience. Wonderful Art Deco interior, well cooked British classics and welcoming, friendly staff. I had the full English which was perfect (yes those eggs are actually poached, not boiled) and we shared banana bread, a real treat. As a surprise for my birthday they served a custard cream doughnut, which must be one of the best I ever had, the coffee and Earl Gray were also superb. Thank you to everyone for a great experience, I only wish we could have stayed longer than an hour and a half! Will be back for sure.

An established institution at the heart of Mayfair. Located right to the Ritz and a stone throw away from the Royal Academy of Arts, the art deco rooms are to die for. It is a great place to have something a little special without the meals being overly expensive and pretentious. I have had mixed experiences with service at the Wolsely, but my most recent visit was great. Would recommend for a special occasion, work lunch/dinner of if you are just in the area! Though booking is recommended.
