The Cornish Pantry - Cornwall - Photo album

Lovely & dog friendly. There is a wonderful collection of jewellery made with tin from the mine. The cafe/restaurant sells a wide range of drinks & food. Plenty of seating inside & out. For a free entry there is a lot of history to learn about & sifting for gold was fun. A huge thank you to Donna f
Was amazing experience. We spend an hour looking at the jewellery, which was all stunning. The history when we walked in all add to the experience. The pick an oyster and pearl was so much fun. Jan who help us through picking and mounting the pearl was friendly and kind. The food was so yummy. We ha
Great for a rainy day! My daughter loved the free gold panning (although you won't find any gold just iron pyrite) Big bonus being dog friendly. Great food and good toilet facilities. There is also a make your own bear and paint your own pottery to do.
Enjoyed a little visit here with the family. The kids enjoyed the Talgos Panning sifting for gold, I enjoyed the food in the restaurant. There is also pottery painting, build a bear and souvenirs.
Had a wonderful time in and around the grounds, spending hours painting a skull and drinking nice coffee. Super friendly staff keeping us entertained seeing and reading about some Cornish history.
Stopped in here for a morning to do some gold panning walk around the museum, we ended up do some pottery painting with my daughter, she also got to do the pick a pear and got a pear worth £70 which we then had made into a necklace whiel we had lunch In the restaurant, food was great sized portions
Something for everyone. We have been here 3 times now, usually go when the weather isn't the best (a none beach day) in the last 3 years we've been to Cornwall. We usually head to the Pantry and order the full English served on a Shovel. It's a novelty, but we love it. I'm sure we get looks from oth
Free to enter, Cornwall Gold makes it's own jewellery which is lovely. There is now an exhibition you can walk round which explains how the gold is acquired and has costumes you can put on for photographs. The workshop is still there where you can see the jewellery being made or get something of you
Lovely place to spend several hours. We have been and done the pottery painting 2 years in a row now, great fun on a wet day. Food was really tasty. Typical Cornish portion sizes so we could barely finish it! First time I've had breakfast on a shovel!
Fun & Interesting place for families & adults whether your panning for gold or reading the history of it !
Brilliant place for Kids and Adults! Free entry, everything is reasonably priced(Pottery Painting, Bear Works and food). Food was delicious, and large serving, staff very friendly and helpful. Dogs were allowed everywhere, panning for gold was fun and a walk round the old mill was fascinating. Defi
I had breakfast, which arrived promptly and was excellent, great coffee, the staff were very helpful and friendly. A special mention to the Canadian Lady, who served me in the jewellery section, she was very helpful and knowledgeable, and very relaxed in her manner, not in your face trying to get me
This was a great showroom to visit, where there is much on display including glorious jewellery and handbags, alongside ancient artefacts! Cornish heritage is demonstrated by much of the jewellery and frames are also up, depicting the county very well. The mill is lovely to wonder around for seeing
We visited with family, 29th August decided to have a bite to eat in the cafe. Ordered pasties as a wet day only to hear a guy in an apron tell his colleague they were out! @ 2.15 Still displayed on the chalk board half hr later, slow service from the staff making the coffees not much communication
Fantastic place to visit...no charge. Had delicious lunch, wander around, bought some lovely earrings, then afternoon tea. Gluten free and dairy free options too!
Can't fault this place for a day out. We learnt a lot about cornish mining and milling, panned for gold, looked at wonderful jewelry and had some great food at good prices. The staff were great and I'd recommend a visit here. Entrance is free.
