Visited on a Saturday evening about 8pm. Food was delicious and good sized portions. A DJ came on at about 9pm and was playing some great 80's tracks, I'd loved to have stayed all night. This pub needs support, for all those good points above it was rather empty

My old local in the early 80s when a student, still great although a much smarter place now! Great food :-)

Went here last weekend for food with the boyfriend and his parents and the food was lovely, nice big portions and really tasty.
Desserts were presented really well as well.
Pub could do with redecorating to make it a bit more modern and appealing to a wider audience - shame though as the food is fab.

This was my first visit here and I only stayed for a couple of pints but it has a really welcoming, friendly feel. I will be going back now I've found this place and. Looking forward to discovering what it's like in the summer here too as it strikes me as the perfect place to relax if you're on your own or with the family

A lovely pub. The menu has a good choice. Our starters were excellent and good value far money. Mains were very good too. All in all a nice place to eat. The service was excellent. I will be returning.

Really friendly atmosphere. Comfortable place for three generations of my family (aged from 2 to 66). We got sausage & mash, stroganoff, steak & ale pie and ham & eggs. Everything was delicious. My dad and I got complimentary desserts as we were there on father's day. Also delicious. Very well done, keep it up.

Changing hands recently hasn't been a problem for this pub. The new landlords are doing a very good job.
Nice atmosphere, an above average selection of beers (not the best in the area but not the worst either) and above average pub food. A nice relaxed family friendly atmosphere during the day.
Will definitely be coming here again.
