The Barley Mow - Cowbridge - Photo album

Always a great Sunday lunch! Proper old school country pub. Perhaps a little hidden away in the beautiful village of graig Penllyn in the vale of Glamorgan but well worth the adventure!
Large car park, great roast and service. Only let down was one incorrect meal causing one dinner receiving their meal once we all finished, but she said the delicious vege wellington made up for it ❤️
A very traditional pub, I'm sure it could be dating back to some 400 years or so. A very warm environment and lovely clientele.
Come for Sunday roast first time after new chef and I do have to say it is one of the best around. Portion is perfect, meat is tender and vegetables beautiful with plenty of gravy. 4* unfortunately is not due to food but loud locals who made experience less enjoyable due to swearing. However, despit
Just had a very enjoyable Sunday Lunch. Staff were brilliant, food was amazing. Relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it. It has been many years since I had been there but can't wait to go back again.
Fantastic find. Lovely local dog friendly pub. It was out of out way but well worth the drive. We ordered, hamburger, jambalaya, mow trio, and Rib eye steak. All meals where cooked to perfection. Service was as good as the food.
Fantastic environment with a great owner. Food is out of this world for a country pub.
Lovely pub, quiet on a Wednesday evening. Food was good, home cooked which is probably the reason for the 50 minute wait before it came. Prices reasonable. James the food waiter/serving staff couldn't have been more helpful. Will call again
Great little country pub, with tables to eat in restaurant and bar. Dogs welcome in the bar area, so you can bring your dog and have some lovely food. Curry and a pint for just £10 on a Thursday! Overall, a fab atmosphere for a casual drink and food.
Had a lovely pub lunch burger and chips and a lasagna with garlic bread and salad. Food was lovely and just £12.50 for both meals. Nice pint of ale to, staff were very nice as was Colin the landlord. Will be popping in again.
Found this little gem by accident when looking through my Taste Card. The food was lovely and the staff were very welcoming. Although it is a little of the beaten track I would highly recommend it! We'll be back to try they're Sunday lunch next ! 😊
Just got back from the USA after two weeks stay at the Barley Mow. The atmosphere made me feel like home. Food excellent and exceptional staff. Will definitely go back .
This is a great cozy pub and the food is always excellent- eaten here lots of times never had a bad or even disappointing meal. Colin is amazing - no matter how I vary his menu to suit my particular taste on the night - he comes up trumps. Staff brilliant- can’t praise it enough.
What a hidden gem this pub is, set in a lovely village. Such Friendly staff, nice pint ,dog friendly, so all in all happy days at The barely mow .
