We had a lovely lunch. The staff were friendly, the place was lovely and clean and the food was perfect and very tasty. Reasonable prices. The landlady made sure we were happy. I will definitely go there again.
The staff make you feel so welcome, it’s like the local you’ve never been to, we’ve been looking for a place to go to since we’ve moved to Waterlooville, We have finally found it. the the bar staff are brilliant, the food is great and the young girls that look after the tables and collect the glasses are top-notch. We will definitely be back.
We went here to eat after going to Hayling island with our teenager and 2 dachshunds. The team were brilliant and incredibly helpful and the food was hands down the best we've eaten whilst we have been away and I would even go as far to say ever. If we come back to the area we would 100% go back. Such a lovely, welcoming place to eat or drink.
Have always lived locally and used to come to the quiz weekly after new ownership we stopped coming. The owners before/after Covid were great but sadly left. We then came every now and again. The new owner after was rude so we stopped coming. Came today for the first time in ages and was very impressed the staff were incredible! Very attentive and happy to help. Very engaged in conversation. Dog treats and dog bowls/water provided. For a local pub I couldn’t recommend more. Thanks to the lovely staff! Made us and the dogs feel very welcome.
The whole experience was worth the trip from East Meon to Waterlooville.
The atmosphere was good, pleasant and clean. Amazing food,had a main course and pudding. Staff were friendly and excellent, with great service. Compliments to the chef as well, who also interacted with me and the rest of my guests. You cannot go wrong staying here for food, friendly staff and a nice clean pub. No faults in any aspects of the visit.
So good we come back a 2nd time on the 14th September, as we knew we would have a good experience, with service and the food.
Delicious food, excellent value, lovely polite staff,good service,brilliant menu with plenty of choice.We will return.
Tried out the plough for the first time in years, new chef Dan is amazing I used to enjoy his food in the woodpecker so I’ll be coming back now he’s here! All the bar and waiting staff were super friendly and polite too. Lovely pub!
Warm welcome, lovely food, and we all enjoyed our meals, and the desserts were good as well.
It's worth a visit and we came back a second time during our holiday for another meal.
What an amazing find great atmosphere, staff really friendly and couldn’t do anymore for us. The landlord and landlady were very friendly and helpful and seemed to know the area well and pointed us in the right direction for things to on our holiday very child friendly
How lovely, went for a surprise Fathers day meal with a few of my children ,got presented with a bag containing some chocolate and a key ring from the land lady .
We was told that there was a delay between 40 mins to an hour ,it was a bit longer but was informed a chef had left and they were getting through the orders as quick as possible, my children were quite happy playing in the play area in the pub garden and the older ones in the park across from the carpark the garden was very busy with large families eating and having fun whilst the weather was being kind.
The Bar staff and Hosts were running around trying to keep everyone happy and up to speed with the orders .
When our food came it was exactly as described on the menu (This is not Michelin Star) its a pub that sells food.
Good selection of beers wines and spirits...
All in all a very pleasurable experience and we will be back.

Lovely friendly pub with lovely staff and amazing food. There were meat eaters, a vegetarian and a vegan in the group and all thoughly enjoyed the food. Will definitely be visiting again
Nice little pub with a nice pub garden. Didn't eat just had a couple of beers but will definitely be back for food soon.
