Restaurant Highlander Inn - Craigellachie - Photo album

My wife and I stopped here for lunch, which was excellent! We ate in the bar, whose owner / manager clearly has an appreciation for whisky. The food was superb -- tomato/chili soup and a tuna melt was just the ticket for me. Our server was wonderful and very informative about the area and some of
We stumbled across this gem of a place as we were staying in the village. We discovered a friendly warm atmosphere lovely food and the most extensive collection of whiskey I have ever encountered. As we were exploring local distilleries this was a perfect place for us. No
Didn't stay here but stopped here after a hike for a drink and also had dinner here on a different night. Nice outdoor patio off the bar. Selection of whisky is outstanding. Fried haggis and mozzarella sticks for starters. Steak pie and fish & chips for mains. Everything was good. Location right off
Stopped in here for dinner while staying in the area. It's a lovely local bar with great food and an insane whisky collection. Nice people and cozy atmosphere!
Always a treat yo stay at this wonderful place. Excellent food. Wonderful atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff. And stunning scenery. Rooms are clean, comfortable and really feel like you are at home. I stay here all of the time with work in the area and have always had capacity wonderful stay.
Appearances can be deceiving, none moreso than this pub. A Google recommendation and an excellent one to boot - the Highlander Inn pride themselves, quite rightly, on having an extensive range of whiskies from across Scotland and Japan, including quite a number of travel exclusives and local distill
We had a lovely dinner at the Highlander Inn. We didn't indulge in their extensive whisky collection though were very impressed with their collection. The pies were to die for we were most impressed with the steak pie, it was perfectly cooked. Would reccomend booking in advance for dinner.
Rooms are basic but very clean. Great staff during the afternoon with a very mixed clientèle adding to the atmosphere. Dinner in the evening was very nice and served promptly with a great range of wine and whisky. A 10 minute walk to the bridge is worthwhile with distilleries close by.
The barman was very knowledgeable about whisky and provided excellent recommendations. Had 3 drams of whisky front different distilleries. All were excellent. The food was OK and a bit loud for dinner. but it makes for an active bar scene.
One of my favourite places to be when in and around the Speyside. Service, staff, food, location fantastic. Great selection of whiskies, beers in a comfortable classic pub. Highly recommended when on The Malt Whisky Trail.
