Wow brilliant fish n chips. We visit this chippy 12 months ago and it was very disappointing. I believe its under new owners and I'm not disappointed. Excellent portion sizes, hot, well packed, friendly staff. We will be back 😊
We've changed our regular chip shop to this one, portions really good as are prices. Staff friendly. Order generally accurate. Can pre-order on their web site so it's easier to do, especially on biggest orders with fussy kids. Only down side, and it's so minor, if you order sauces, make sure you check before you leave they've given them to you as most of the time they get forgotten, but to be fair, it's generally busy in there 😆
Skippers has excellent staff, food and cleanliness. The food is always freshly made and has always been high quality. The staff are always friendly no matter the day and make you feel very welcome.

Ordered a very large order today! Service was excellent, food was spot on and very much enjoyed by everyone at The Court Retirement Residence. (Portions were huge by the way) highly recommend this establishment.

Paid £14.50 for a far amount of food. Prices are what you'd expect for a chippie. Was a good waiting time, wasnt kept too long.
Got the food home and was so shocked. My mum lives v.close and said the quality of food we received was really awful when compared to normal.
We decided to eat it anyway as it was a one-off. Until we unwrapped the Saveloy. It was totally and utterly inedible. Dry as a bone, cripsy, and clearly overcooked skin, just totally beyond saving.
Called them and explained and was told to come back to the shop.
To my amazement, not only did they replace the entire order, but they also apologised many times. The real kicker was that they actually partially refunded my meal! I am so impressed with that level of service.
The food we received as replacement was wonderful. Clearly, we had a one-off bad order, very impressed with the customer service. You won't be disappointed, and if you are, they'll make it right.

I ordered 12 x fish 'n' chips for a team lunch at work to be collected at 12.15. The order was bang on time, the food was hot and beautifully cooked. The team loved it!

Great local chippy in Cranbrook, with gluten-free options available. Only lose a star because they have previously got my order wrong (and I didn't realise until I got home).
EDIT: This review was posted when it was Seamasters. We have not visited since it has been under new management and changed to Skippers, as they no longer appear to offer gluten-free options. ☹️

Amazing! Don't miss the best fish and chips ever, maybe in all Devon! Fresh caught UK "fish", you can really taste freshness, boat listed for provenance.. reasonably priced. Oil fresh so batter, which was perfectly crispy, and chips taste great too.
