Fantastic roast dinner! I absolutely love it here. The atmosphere is so cosy, the service is good, and there’s a lovely outside seating area with fairy lights. The beef was so tender and the roast potatoes cooked to perfection. We will be back! 🥰
Went with friends last Thursday early evening, and couldn't fault a thing. The food was very tasty. Portions were generous and the guy serving us both food and drinks was friendly, efficient, and made us feel very welcome. I know this is a 5* review but I don't do it lightly. This place deserves it!
Had an excellent Sunday roast with the family. We had to book ahead and let them know our order prior to turning up. The food was really good if a little pricey.
Delicious food, staff is professional and very friendly. I have intolerance to peppers. it is hard to find food without black pepper. But the staff and the chef did their best to find a food. Good atmosphere and food with friends.
Visiting today by chance and what a good chance! The food was very, very good and the service was at the same level. I felt the most important Portuguese in the UK (I would feel the same if I were a German or a Russian!!!). I go back, for sure! Thank you.
Lovely cosy atmosphere and great place to stop off as you cycle down south, food was great and waiters are absolutely wonderful, thank you
The Crown is a fantastic traditional pub & restaurant. We visited for dinner and had a variety of dishes including the roast beef, fish & chips and Bangers & Mash. The food was absolutely delicious and of great quality and quantity. Compliments to the chef and waiting staff. The service was also ve
Great pub for a quick stop off on bike. Good selection of cask ales that are well kept
Great meal, with great service. The pub has loads of atmosphere and all the staff made you feel welcome as soon as you walked through the door.
Lovely pub, pints and food. Very welcoming staff. Popped in this Sunday for a few pints and to see the Highland cows in the following fields. Lovely the atmosphere in the pub with open fires and will definitely revisit it.
One of the best pub meals I have had in a long time. I ordered the chicken and ham Crown pie and for dessert the apple and blackberry crumble. A lovely historic pub with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. Perfect.
A lovely old pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. My only grumble is there isn't the selection of beers you might expect from a place like this. Worth a visit for sure.
Great food, good quality, not your usual pub grub. Slightly more fancy, but not too expensive and definitely worth the price. Absolute plus: very clearly labelled dietary needs in menu (dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian, vegan). So much easier!! Well done.
We had a lovely meal with three children aged 3-10, two parents and grandparents. We all enjoyed it. Delicious food, great friendly service and a cosy atmosphere. Also lovely toilets!
Great place. It's lovely & cosy inside. Staff were very good & so was the food.
Sandwiches were excellent. Generous fillings with perfectly cooked chips (fluffy in the middle). 2 delicious ales on tap.
We sat out front and had our meal. The food was manufique. The service was impeccable. And the atmosphere is superb, staff are super friendly and helpful even qhen rushed off their feet. They have a lovely garden and dinning area inside.
A beautiful pub with a quaint and welcoming interior. Stunning food and attentive staff. Great portion sizing, reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommend.
