We had a lovely family meal to celebrate my daughter in law's birthday. We all had the roast which was one of the best I've had out for a very long time. Will definitely recommend the crown to all my friends and family and will be returning for sure. The staff were very attentive and helpful and definitely compliments to the chef.

Stumbled upon this pub by chance looking for somewhere to have lunch before flying from Gatwick for a holiday. My only criticism was the miserable girl from miserable land behind the bar. Everything else was superb. The food and beer were excellent. Would definitely come back and definitely recommend. Well done.

A lovely pub/restaurant. The food is excellent, staff wonderful and still the feel of a 'locals pub'. Dogs are welcome in all areas except the main restaurant as long as they are well behaved, the same as children! Just because they are dog friendly doesn't compromise their very high standards. Can not recommend it enough.

For the second year in a row we went to The Crown for our works Christmas dinner and they didn't let us down. The food was amazing, really delicious and the pub only had one empty table for two. Couldn't recommend it enough. Thanks for another amazing Christmas dinner..... Compliments to the chef and his team.

Went to a friends event in summer which was a bbq & really enjoyed the food so a group of us decided to book our Christmas meal here. That meal was this evening. We were a group of 9 people and all of us really enjoyed our meal. Food & service was excellent, couldn’t fault anything. Definitely going back ASAP

Had another lovely meal at the Crown in turners hill tonight. It was busy but weren't kept waiting, everyone's food was lovely & great service. My son thinks the crown burger is the best burger ever!! Go regularly & always same great food.x

Really good atmosphere, the only annoyance was that the online menu is different to the menu on the day. So what I went for wasn't there, but a good meal! 😊

We had a fab Burns night supper at The Crown. Excellent food, staff friendly, good atmosphere. Only one small criticism, that we did have to wait quite a while for our table even though it was clearly ready for us.

We have been looking for a decent Sunday roast in the area and we have most definitely found it at The Crown! We came in with our 4 year old and they were really attentive, her roast was massive but we gave her a very willing helping hand :-) It's a lovely place, the food is very good and the choices interesting (we had a superb chocolate chilli mouse), we had a great lunch experience and will be returning very soon no doubt.

Fantastic roast dinner! I absolutely love it here. The atmosphere is so cosy, the service is good, and there’s a lovely outside seating area with fairy lights. The beef was so tender and the roast potatoes cooked to perfection. We will be back! 🥰

Went with friends last Thursday early evening, and couldn't fault a thing. The food was very tasty. Portions were generous and the guy serving us both food and drinks was friendly, efficient, and made us feel very welcome. I know this is a 5* review but I don't do it lightly. This place deserves it!

Had an excellent Sunday roast with the family. We had to book ahead and let them know our order prior to turning up. The food was really good if a little pricey.

Delicious food, staff is professional and very friendly. I have intolerance to peppers. it is hard to find food without black pepper. But the staff and the chef did their best to find a food. Good atmosphere and food with friends.

Visiting today by chance and what a good chance! The food was very, very good and the service was at the same level. I felt the most important Portuguese in the UK (I would feel the same if I were a German or a Russian!!!). I go back, for sure! Thank you.

The Crown is a fantastic traditional pub & restaurant. We visited for dinner and had a variety of dishes including the roast beef, fish & chips and Bangers & Mash. The food was absolutely delicious and of great quality and quantity. Compliments to the chef and waiting staff. The service was also very good and the restaurant area had a wonderful atmosphere along with the charm of such a beautiful old building. Highly recommend visiting Turners Hill to have a drink and/or food here.

Lovely pub, pints and food. Very welcoming staff. Popped in this Sunday for a few pints and to see the Highland cows in the following fields. Lovely the atmosphere in the pub with open fires and will definitely revisit it.

One of the best pub meals I have had in a long time. I ordered the chicken and ham Crown pie and for dessert the apple and blackberry crumble. A lovely historic pub with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. Perfect.

A lovely old pub with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. My only grumble is there isn't the selection of beers you might expect from a place like this. Worth a visit for sure.

Great food, good quality, not your usual pub grub. Slightly more fancy, but not too expensive and definitely worth the price. Absolute plus: very clearly labelled dietary needs in menu (dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian, vegan). So much easier!! Well done.
