I booked an event today (wake) and received excellent service throughout. We had the whole of the back room to ourselves, and for as long as we wanted, no time limit. The food was excellent withva wide variety of hot and cold food, a truly wonderful spread that exceeded expectations. Caz and her
Restaurant quality food with exceptional garlic king prawns, tandoori platter, mushroom bhaji and tarka dahl. Generous portions so go with an appetite or a doggy bag!
Butter paneer...one of the best meals I've had in 3 months in England! Great menu...western and Indian, huge TV with plenty of seating to watch sport, quick service, really nice atmosphere. Excellent all around

This one is a good laid back old style pub .... it has a nice indoor as well as outdoor sitting .... the pub serves variety of good ales on the tap and the food is great .... I tried the Indian food which was very good... the pub also has screens so you can enjoy ya favourite game while enjoying ya
We have visited today for the king’s coronation, where the lovely land lady has served her usual incredible menu along with a BBQ in the garden and a !!free!! afternoon cream tea! She’s also put up a bouncy castle, hook a duck and candy floss for the kids free of charge. Everyone’s had a lovely time

Visited this pub on numerous occasions with family and friends. Good and spacious seating area. Great variety of beers and curries to choose from. Serves Indian food (spicy and hot) Quick and prompt service. Busy crowd over the weekends and match days ! 😃😃
One of the worst experiences I've had at the downsman in the last 10 years food wasn't as good as normal, the guy working was excellent but the 2 ladies working didn't seem to want to be there 9nr was rude and going for a cigarette break every 5 mins
The pub itself is a bit tired round the edges but a friendly atmosphere. Food was surprisingly good but a bit of salad or veg would have really made a difference. To be fair we were there on a Monday evening, it was pretty quiet. Barman was lovely, super friendly and helpful.
Opened up early for the England game, and put on bacon baguettes. Win win even though girls lost done us proud as well as the staff.
