Stopped in on our second night of camping with no expectations. The food was outstanding! Garlic mushroom appetizer was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Sirloin steak actually had a phenomenal crust and was cooked exactly medium rare as requested. Chips, onion rings, peppercorn sauce and mushroom side were all great in their own right. Very pleasantly surprised.

Foods great. Lovely meal had by all. Staff are friendly and meals are served quickly. Dog friendly. Don't follow sat nav. Entrance to the lairds inn is through the Castle cary caravan park.
Eaten here twice now. Both times have been good. Staff is lovely and it's a quick service. This visit I had the crispy chicken with chilli. I found the chilli coating a bit too hot for me but that's always the risk you take getting chilli.
Beautiful building and amazing food, excellent portion sizes too. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a stop.

Fantastic little find just off the A75. It is highly recommended to book a table as can be very busy with limited tables. Had a wondered evening meal the fish and chips were amazing crispy batter not oily. Another of our party had Cumberland Sausage and mash who also said it was fantastic. Highly recommend if your in the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The whole place had a homely atmosphere.
The food is delicious,really nice bar and the staff are absolutely lovely. I'd definitely recommend a visit, we will certainly be back.

Great little stocked loch .beautiful surroundings.....friendly welcome and good fishing ...got a bit soaked but still enjoyed it
Lovely meal and service last night spoilt by a barking white terrier dog at the table next to us. We spoke to the lairds owner who apologised and reassured us she would speak to the owner of the dog as she’s friends with them and that there would be new dog rules coming in soon to include removing your dogs if they bark excessively and disturb other customers! 1 star dropped because of the dog but will return next time we’re in the area as the food was fantastic and good value.
Absolutely beautiful tasting food. I had a curry, as a curry lover I am happy to say the butter milk chicken curry here is the best I have had for longer than I dare to remember. It tasted slightly fruity but also had a nice kick with it. The chicken was cooked to perfection and was very melt in your mouth
The service was up to and possibly above standard I would expect with food arriving within 15 mins of ordering for a table of 10.

Decent food and service and very reasonably priced. One thing that annoys me though is that if you pay on card the staff and the machine ask if you would like to leave a tip. I absolutely hate it. You feel pressured into it and it feels very American (where tips are expected). I’m happy to leave tips and usually do, especially if I receive good service, but being asked just seems cheeky.
Just had a drink but food looked lovely, really nice place.

Lovely olde world establishment. Didn't stay here but just used it for dining. It has an extensive menu and service was good. Prices were reasonable and staff friendly, helpful and fun.
