Exactly what you want from a pub. Made to feel welcome by the knowledgeable landlords, excellently kept real ale (3 on tap, rotated regularly) and lovely, charming bar area - and some tables outside.
Could only stay for a couple but would have happily stayed all day. If every pub was like this the w
Went to the MM last week with my partner and our dog after an absence of some years. Relieved to see nothing had changed. Excellent beer and good pub food. The best Ploughman’s I have had for a long time. 3 types of cheese, salad, onions, chutney and warm bread. Very generous portions. Partner
We called in for an evening meal and everyone was really friendly and interesting to talk to. The meal was superb all freshly cooked and there are some really comforting and traditional items on the menu. A quirky and friendly place to pitch up and enjoy the view.
We have just had 2 meals over 2 nights and cannot fault either. Good banter with Mick & Gary made to feel really welcome. We would love to be regulars but only here on holiday
A great little village pub with decent food and ale. What more could you ask for!
Sunday lunch very good. Excellent staff amazing pub. Will go again mid week for the steak. Landlord very entertaining.
Great village pub. Friendly welcome, good food and nice atmosphere.
We're not regular visitors but we do enjoy the banter when we do come. We had food this time which was delicious. Will be back!
What a find! Had a terrific Sunday roast for four.
Small, cozy, friendly, exactly as described on their website; except the pictures do not do it justice. The main area is a delight. With the bar at one end, a few tables under a low beamed ceiling fireplace at the end
The service of this super frie
Superb! We went for lunch yesterday with friends, and it exceeded my expectations.
Friendly, good food and drink.
In my opinion, this is a proper pub, like they used to be.
What a character the landlord is, too. Excellent old skool! 👏 Bravo....
The food is just out of this world. The staff are very friendly and helpful with a really good sense of humour.
What a fantastic evening we had in the Muddled man, great hosts, great food, although the vegetarian options were a bit lacking. This wouldn't put us off becoming regulars as it was a proper pub with good choice of ciders, real ales and whisky. Would highly recommend.
Lovely, country village local. Friendly and chatty people who run the pub. 3 local ales on and a few local ciders. I had half of the potholes from cheddar brewery which was very nice. Bit like having a pint in a someone's lounge. Does food of an evening. Recommended 🍻 🍏
Always excellent food and friendly staff. Highly recommended. I live more than 2000 Km from this quaint country pub, and always visit whenever I am in the UK visiting my family!
Mum and I discovered the Muddled Man a couple of months ago. Brilliant landlords. Great sense of humour and the food is great. Plenty of it. We’ve been back 3 times now. Just enjoyed a terrific Mothers Day lunch. Traditional roasts perfectly cooked tender beef and the best roast potatoes! Thank you
Great food, friendly atmosphere, highly recommended
Probably the best roast dinner I have ever had. The beef was absolutely lovely and the rest was all home cooked and hot. The price was really good. We have recommended this place to our family and friends and well worth the 2 hour round trip to get there. We are already planning our next visit. Staf
Friendly and good value food menu.
