Rocket House Cafe is a great place to go for a casual meal or snack. It has a good central location in Cromer, and a lovely sea view from the outdoor balcony seating area. There is also plenty of indoor space, so it's a good option for all weather conditions. However its starting to look a little tired and parts of the venue were showing a bit of wear and tear.
The cafe is dog-friendly, they are just not allowed on the sofas. The staff are very friendly and proactive ensuring tables are clean and the free drinking water is topped up. There is no table service, so you will need to order your food and drinks from the counter. While there was quite a qeue, it went reasonably fast and my order was taken in 10min. It did take 30min for our food to arrive.
The food and cakes were tasty, but nothing exceptional. There is also a nice selection of specials, which change regularly in addition to a varied standard menu.

Great location with amazing outside views of the sea and pier but a tad pricey. Service is excellent but £14.50 for a burger on a seaside cafe is too much (5 October 2023). Expensive as London prices.

Clean.Toilets ,including disabled & baby changing facilities are on ground floor.

An original and different menu, beautifully presented and served with a smile. Great views from the balcony, pleasant atmosphere inside service was prompt even though it was busy. We will definitely be going again next time we visit Cromer.

Just popped in for coffee. Managed to get a table on the balcony which is great if the weather's good. Fair amount of seating inside. Fab views of the east beach and pier. Toilets were clean and everything worked. Lift available for the less mobile. Coffee was fine. Staff were OK. Sand flies were a pain...but those views....

Really nice coffee shop in a very interesting shaped building.
We sat and ate our lunch in the park, got the lift down into this building to save going down the steps and saw the lovely coffee lounge.
You have a choice of sitting inside, outside on a balcony or inside and open roofed terrace room.

We just had a coffee but there was a good selection of cakes. They did a few meals that looked quite pricy

Bright and airy with a balcony if you want tobsit outside. Even though it was a hot day, the inside was cool. Its dog friendly and there is a lift if you need it. The food is locally sourced and really tasty. There is a large and varied choice of food on the menu. Best cafe I've visited in a while. Will visit again.

Went there twice whilst on holiday in Cromer. Had lunch and breakfast. Both times the food was delicious, well presented with good sized portions. My sons shared the adult fish and chips, my eldest said it was the best fish and chips he’s ever had! It had a lovely panko crumb. I had the big salad bowl (v) for lunch which was fresh and tasty in a huge bowl! For breakfast my husband had the big brekkie and I had the vegan brekkie which were super tasty.
The views from the window and balcony are spectacular, you can watch the sea roll in whilst eating. The decor is bright and lively with plenty to look at. There are stairs or a lift to the cafe level. Toilets on the ground floor and an accessible toilet on the same level as the cafe. Find a table and order at the till. Staff were friendly and helpful. Can’t fault it both times we went.

Initially £15 for a small crab (pictured on the platter) was outrageous but actually was surprisingly filling. Staff really laid back and friendly, but the eat in area was tired and looking forward to a deep clean as there were a lot of grubby spots that didn't look great. Food presentation was lovely, but there was rust on all of the kids high chairs and many missing the latches for safe seating- none of them cleaned from previous residents. Understanding that they are in salty areas, it's more important to clean and protect things and although the service was lovely, a cleaner restaurant would be great, and a baby changing unit!

Didn't attend during the day, but attend a private event, a wedding reception in the evening. Amazing location over looking beach and pier. Food was excellent and friendly staff.

Super friendly and helpful staff and I loved that I could take my dog inside too! We had a bacon and brie baguette, which was huge and delicious and a vegan wrap, which was almost too beautifully presented to eat, but I did and it was also delicious 😊

We have visited mostly in the summer and have always been satisfied with the food and the service ... as it states on the menu the food is freshly prepared so be prepared for a wait at busy times ...it is worth it ...Cajun chicken wrap and fish finger cob were both excellent....pleased to find that this place is popular all year round

Another lovely lunch with an amazing view. The sausage baguettes are a firm favourite and the cod goujons were delicious. Every time we come we are impressed by the quality of food and the excellent service - even when it is busy (which it often is) there are excellent systems in place which mean that you never wait too long for food. We would highly recommend!!
