In Crook for the day and found this place. The girls are fabulous, nothing too much bother. Food lovely. Very popular with the locals, all very friendly.

First visit largely positive. Although not really anticipating a great deal, despite having noted several laudatory reviews, the breakfast was certainly acceptable, and as it included both toast and a hot drink, was good value at £5.30. My very elderly father had a jacket potato with beans, and whilst he usually has a very limited appetite, he professed himself satisfied having demolished a large spud! Staff also pleasant and helpful. There is also a large selection of cakes and pies that could be worth exploring. If you are in the area, this cafe is worth a visit for simple straightforward food at very reasonable price.

We found Cafe J's when we were looking at a property in the area - popped in for a coffee and cake. All of the staff (and customers) were friendly and gave us 'strangers' a warm welcome. We brought the property in Crook and visited Cafe J's for breakfast on our first morning in the village. Such a lovely little cafe where everyone gets treated like family. No more big chain restaurants for breakfast......this friendly local cafe will be visited instead!!

This is the go to cafe for lunch through the week. Take out or eat in. Lovely basic grub. I always ask for my latte extra hot and its spot on..... better than the usual high street coffee places 😉The staff are like being served by my mum... full of the craic ! The cowboy table cloths amuse me every time but that's just me 😊.

A very nice and convenient local cafe with excellent home cooked meals at reasonable prices plus a friendly home-like atmosphere. It is good to have an excellent local cafe. They are a dying breed.
