Peso's Mexican Cafe

Consistently good food, and always great service. Smaller menu than the bigger place across the road, but with better prices and better service, I prefer Peso's. I also always prefer to support the smaller, local businesses whenever possible. A couple of my favorite menu items are their carne guisada and the stuffed avocado.

I've read the poor reviews but my wife wanted to give it a try. Her skirt steak had some sauce all over it that completely masked the taste of beef. She took some bites but couldn't eat it. I had the charbroil tacos, they weren't bad however they didn't taste charbroil and sauce and melted cheese on top (which I read on the menu). Why would you hide the taste of the meat instead of making it the star of the meal? Guy please, your protein needs to be the star of your dish. Rice and beans were standard but the sauce they give with chips just tasted like sour cream. Won't be going back.
