We went for a 40th birthday party and I have to say the food was incredible. I could not stop eating! The service was great and the atmosphere was electric. It was an amazing night. The guy mentioned in the photo below was extremely helpful, friendly and even asked if we needed anything before his shift finished.

Brilliant pub with a lovely beer garden. The team was able to accommodate my large group and reserved the back of the restaurant area for us, which was set up beautifully. The bar has a fantastic selection of non-alcoholic beers alongside other international & local lagers and ales which helped accommodate my group’s interests. The staff were all knowledgeable and helpful - big shoutout to Shankar, Maggie and Maeve and the rest of the team for their support on that day.

This is our local favorite! We always have an amazing time. The vibe/atmosphere is second to none. Bar and food offerings are proper quality. The staff are very nice and attentive. Special thanks to Shanks and Anna who have, a few times, gone the extra mile to look after us.

I’ve lastly visited Maynard Arms for our daughter’s birthday and everyone left the place fully satisfied!
It is certainly the nicest pub in the area, while we’ve been more than happy with both the food and the service

Three of us had a wonderful Sunday roast lunch today. The food was excellent, strongly recommend the Chicken Liver pate starter. Service from Shaak, Ben and the rest of the team was attentive, quick and friendly. Will visit again.

Such a great pub. Shanks (our bartender) was unbelievable and pulled out all the stops to sort us a last minute table for a semi final rugby World Cup game. Cannot recommend enough

We had an excellent evening, and were taken care of really well by our waitress Mollie and by the host Teona. They were both so kind and very helpful, absolutely made our evening, best service I have experienced in a while! Not to mention that the food was amazing!!

I visited The Maynard recently with my family and I have to say what a wonderful atmosphere it has as soon as you enter, it’s quite clearly a very busy pub however the staff take this in there stride and offered us a table immediately. The menu is extensive and everything looked so appetising so we decided to all order differently and then share where we could.
The service we received was perfect, Teona was the first person we met and she asked us about our day and had we been in before as we hadn’t she asked was it a special occasion, which it was.
Molly then looked after us throughout our meal and I have to say was so friendly and pleasant we even stayed for after dinner drinks. The food was fantastic and came out swiftly which was great as we were all very hungry when we arrived:
Can’t wait to return, it will definitely somewhere we visit frequently in the near future

My fiancee and I came here for lunch today, and had such a great experience. This is the first time I have visited and we found the staff friendly, welcoming and full of personality. We sat in the pretty garden and had the most amazing camembert either of us have ever eaten! Beautifully done in crispy filo, flavoured with rosemary and honey, with some smoky almonds. Unusual and delicious! We will definitely be back, great place and LGBT friendly too 😊

What a gem of a place! The pub's decor and atmosphere-amazing, I could have stayed a lot longer. The food was great and very reasonable prices and the staff friendly and knowledgeable

Very nice pub with generous plates. We were quite surprised by the price of some of the dishes (a baked Camembert at £18?) but overall nice experience. Had the vegan fish and chips, very tasty crispy tofu.

I came here for a drink with friends and was so impressed by the service, atmosphere and range of drinks. We were served by Ruby, who was incredibly attentive and friendly, and provided great advice on what my friend might enjoy to drink (given she doesn't like most alcohol). The atmosphere was vibrant and fun and I would definitely come back!

The service was great with a very friendly welcome and live music too on a Friday night.
Unfortunately the food didn't match the service:
- they had no vegan fish & chips, which meant we got the vegan tofu sharing platter to try (it was ok)
- salty sauce for vegan korean cauli
- quite salty fish stew, but the red mullet was cooked very well
- not enough cheese in truffle mac n cheese
Would go back for a drink, but I wouldn't rush back for food or maybe try a Sunday roast

Popped in for a drink after the a long walk sulking over the result of WC final. Staff are friendly and good selection of beers on tap. Didn't have a chance to try the food (certain patrons' pub ordering etiquette seemed to have disappeared along with WC, so gave up attempting to order. No reflection on the staff as they seemed exhausted after the WC crowd, but remained friendly). Will be back to try the wings and burger

Loved this place. Went with 2 other adults and a child and had lovely food, especially the avocado and poached eggs, served by a charming and friendly member of staff,JD. Outdoor area is perfect, with umbrellas for the sun. Great selection of beers, especially ones from a local brewery. Highly recommended

Sunday Roast was delicious. I had the porchetta and my friend had the chicken, apparently the best roast chicken he had in a while. The service was great and the space was airy and light while still feeling warm. Definitely going back.

Best mac and cheese I have EVER had, no exaggeration. It's truffle mac and cheese but not overpoweringly truffley- go and order it now! Staff are always lovely, great place - I love it ❤️

I have gone a couple of times and the have great Sunday lunches, friendly staff and terrific terrace with a breeze effect. The service on the bar was a little slow the last time I went and could improve the cleanliness of the tables outside.
